On Gurren Lagann and the Trinity Blood Novels

ON GURREN LAGANN:
To sum up the premiere of Gurren Lagann in one word: WOAH! O_O

That was one of the most manic things I've seen in a long time. Absolutely no build up, it just ripped into the story right from the word go and didn't let up. It was outrageously over the top... and I think I'll keep watching. =P

Oh, and I want Kamina sunglasses now. o_O

ON THE TRINITY BLOOD NOVELS:
Thanks to innocent heart and a little research, I realized I had made a mistake when I bought the Trinity Blood books yesterday. So, here's an explaination for anyone else interested in buying the books.

The novel series is comprised of 12 books. The series is divided into two 6-book cycles: the first cycle is subtitled Rage Against The Moons (RAM), and the second is Reborn On The Mars (ROM).

Although the books I had were numbered 1-3, I actually had RAM 1 and 3 and ROM 2. Since such a discrepancy irritated me (and showed that I hadn't been paying attention), I went out today to pick up the missing volumes. Tokyopop distributes the books by staggering them, releasing a RAM volume, then a ROM volume, back and forth like that.

Anyway, if you're a fan of Trinity Blood, go out and read the books. ^^ This is the original material the manga and anime were based on. I've thumbed through the manga, and personally I have to say the books are way better.
