Thanks to everyone for the sympathy about losing the cat.
Despite what mom told me, dad is fairly certain he ran over the cat. He told me, "You didn't see him." He's pretty cut up over it, and that makes me feel even worse. We'll never be sure exactly what happened, I suppose...
We've delayed telling grandma because she's already upset after learning that one of my aunt's had a stroke.
This hasn't been a good day, really. I haven't done much more than read and read. I don't want to think about any of this, I'd rather shove my face in a book.
Hopefully the next post will be more cheerful.
