With the tropical storm long gone, I really wanted to take the opportunity to get out of the house for awhile, having been mainly shut in since Monday night. Fortunately I had the perfect excuse: a Barnes & Noble 15%-off-one-item discount certificate.
Due to our constant and ever-increasing MST3K geeking, and the fact that Katana has been buying up a bunch of the DVD sets lately, I finally decided to go out and start buying my own. I've always intended to get the sets anyway, and would have already if I hadn't been so obsessed with anime over the last few years. The sets at the bookstore were a bit more expensive than I was expecting, so I used my certificate to get a manga instead. But I still had plenty of money and a $5-off certificate for Best Buy, so I raided them for whetever MST stuff they had.
So, here's a pic of my purchases, plus the most recent CDs I ordered this week:
- Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection 10.2
- Fairy Cube, Vol. 2
- Porcupine Tree - Warszawa (older live set recorded for a Polish radio broadcast)
- Cloudscape - Global Drama (brand new release)
And speaking of MST, don't forget the next Movie Sign in theO Chat today (Sunday) at 8PM EST. If you want to join in the fun, we'll be opening the doors at 7:30. Just remember to check the Watercooler for the chatroom password.
