Update since the last one

So here's a rundown of what's happened since last week, both important and trivial (mostly trivial).

  • Had my second chiropractic appointment today. Apparently the way the doctor runs his treatment schedule means I'll be going a couple times a week for the first month or so. It's not as bad as I sort of expected, and I do think this will help me in the long run.
  • Over the weekend, we got a "Yes on 2" ad in the mail (this is the Florida "marriage protection" amendment on the ballot). I tore the damn thing up and tossed it in the trash, which gave me some small satisfaction. Yesterday while at grandma's house, she had the TV on one of the religious channels (they play Daniel Boone in the evenings and she likes to watch that), and there was a "Vote Yes on 2" ad. I felt a little better when I saw a "No on 2" ad after the news tonight, but it was just about the argument that the amendment will also curtail the rights of unmarried straight couples. I'm just sick of having to live in a world where people think they can vote away others' rights.
  • Back to a less heavy subject, got some more CDs in the mail (yes yes, I buy a lot of music). This time I got the new 2-volume album Happiness Is The Road by long-running Neoprog band Marillion, and the debut CD of Lunatic Soul, a side-project from Riverside vocalist Mariusz Duda.
  • I've got a dental appointment on Tuesday (routine check of the appliances and a cleaning) and another chiropractic visit on Friday.
