First: My congratulations to President-Elect Barack Obama for his historic victory.
Those of us who have dreamed of a change for the last eight years can now take heart that it's here. The real task still lies ahead, but I believe our hope is not misplaced. I think of Obama as a man of character and principle, and when he says he will work with everyone to get the job done, I believe he means it, that he isn't just paying lip service.
I feel truly motivated now to deal with my problems once and for all (anxiety, panic attacks) so I can finally get out there and build a life for myself, and find a job, because I want to be part of the restoration of America. I want to answer Obama's call to service, that we all need to work together and work hard to pull America out of these troubled times.
All we need to remember are those three important words: YES WE CAN.
