Apparently, I was supposed to have another appointment at the hospital today (the one it takes three hours to drive to). But nobody remembered to write it on the calendar, and we didn't realize this until last night, because my parents have both been busy busy with school AND lots of church related trips out of town on weekends.
I tried calling the office AND the doctor's cell phone, but I got "Leave a message" on both, so I picked on and just left the message. We'll have to reschedule later.
Let this be a lesson: WRITE THINGS DOWN ON THE FREAKING CALENDAR!!!
And in a wonderful example of my procrastinatory skills, I didn't bother looking at that jury duty summons again until this weekend, and saw that an excuse to get out of it has to be received by them within 10 working days prior to the summoning date... which is November 25.
Apparently, a medical excuse is mail-in only, so I went online and filed for a 60-day postponement. Hopefully that will be approved, during which time I will call one of my doctors (likely the cardiologist) and get an excuse from her. And, with any luck, see if I can get some sort of permanent medical excuse so that I don't ever have to deal with this again.
In other news, a cheaper, non-import version of Starbreaker's new album Love's Dying Wish came out today, so I grabbed that up. I've been waiting for this one for some time.
