We Have Titles! (Mostly)

Quick post related to Season 4.

The BBC press launch of Doctor Who took place this week. They've done this since 2005: it's a night where stars (and their kids in some cases) gather to see an exclusive premier of the first two episodes of the new season, and then there's a Q&A period.

I checked up on Wiki and found that all the titles to this seaon's episodes, bar Episode 12, had finally been revealed. Here they are and what little I know about each one...

401: Partners In Crime - The Doctor reunites with Donna Noble (Catherine Tate reprising her character from the 2006 Christmas Special) and the two investigate the mysterious Miss Foster, head of Adipose Industries, a company marketing a miracle diet pill: "One pill a day and the fat just walks away."

402: The Fires Of Pompeii - The Doctor and Donna visit Pompeii, AD 79, just before the erruption of Mt. Vesuvius, and discover psychic powers and creatures made of stone.

403: Planet Of The Ood - Features the return of the Ood, the squid-faced humanoid creatures who were first seen in Season 2's The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit. In this episode the Doctor and Donna arrive on the frozen world of the Ood-Sphere and discover why the Ood became a slave race.

404/405: The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky - The first 2-part story of the season, features the return of Martha Jones (the Doctor's companion in Season 3), UNIT, and the militaristic Sontarans from the classic series.

406: The Doctor's Daughter - A title completely out of left field, there is currently no information about the plot of this episode. What is known is that the main guest star is Georgia Moffett, the actress daughter of Peter Davison (5th Doctor).

407: The Unicorn And The Wasp - The Doctor and Donna meet Agatha Christie in a storyline that is both a murder mystery and a comedy.

408/409: Silence In The Library/River's Run - Another 2-parter, this one is set in an abandoned library. ER actress Alex Kingston guest stars as archaeologist Professor River Song.

410: Midnight - The Doctor and Donna visit the leisure world Midnight. Guest-starring David Troughton, son of Patrick Troughton (2nd Doctor).

411: Turn Left - Donna is put through the emotional wringer. This episode also features the return of companion Rose Tyler (Seasons 1 & 2).

412/413: ???/Journey's End - Season finale, so far no plot information exists, although the characters of Rose, Martha, Jack Harkness, and Sarah Jane Smith return. The title for Episode 12 remains unknown as of this time.
