Random Update of Generalness
- So, funeral arrangements for grandpa were made in short order and my parents left yesterday morning to travel to Georgia for them, and they won't be back til Monday night. Good thing for them that Monday is a holiday.
- I ordered two large pizzas yesterday, which should sustain me through Monday (because I prefer not to starve). I have to be careful about drinks though, because we're low (we're ALWAYS low on drinks when my parents have to go anywhere for a weekend...).
- I haven't been paying much attention to other anime I need to watch because I've been re-watching Gundam 00 S2. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DUB TO AIR ON SCI-FI! *gnaws left hand off to prevent madness* Plus I found a sweet new wallpaper for my desktop...
- Speaking of Gundam, I'm stuck on whether to pre-order the 00 Season 1 Part 1 set from Right Stuf or wait until it hits stores and go get a copy that way. Normally I wouldn't hesitate now to get it from Right Stuf because of the lower price, but BANDAI still use those multi-leaved hard cases, and I hate them. I'm always afraid part of it will break and I'll get a disc or two rattling around in there. I suppose I am being paranoid, because I once ordered The Devil Lady set from ADV and it has a similar case and it arrived just fine. I just wish BANDAI would go ahead and bloody well adopt the thinpaks because that guarantees that the discs wont pop loose and rattle around and get scuffed up or anything... So any suggestions? Put away my paranoia and order it or wait and get it in a store?
- RANDOM OBSERVATION: The documentary film "Jesus Camp" is playing on TV today, so I watched a little of it. Frankly, those people scare me. I think it's going a bit over the top to (once again) condemn Harry Potter in these rather graphic terms: "Warlocks are enemies of God! If it were in the Old Testament, Harry Potter would be put to death!" and then have people cheer and 'amen' to that. So, you can't portray warlocks as heroes, eh? I started to think about all the anime that would get banned if these people could make the laws: Black Lagoon (violence and swearing), Chrono Crusade (can't have a devil as a hero, noooo), Devil Lady (same thing), Elfen Lied (violence), Trinity Blood (can't have a vampire as a hero and a priest), and probably more than I can think of for now. And please, don't anybody take my words personally, just making an observation here about the people in the film.
- Time to watch the Top Gear marathon on BBC America.
