A place for players of Super Smash Bros. Brawl to come together and talk, trade Brawl codes, and organize their own matches. Above all, have fun getting to know each other and laying some beat-downs in the game!

Music Videos and Stage Builder
I'm sure you've all seen user-created music videos for various anime series. I mention this because I've seen a few for video games before, and I like the idea. That said, if anyone has all the equipment they need to make a music video for Brawl, make one and I'll put it up here on the World (thanks to Adam for allowing YouTube embedding!).
Secondly, I asked about items in the last post, so now I want to move on to another topic: created stages. It seems to be a no-brainer that created stages shouldn' be allowed in official League matches, but would any of you be willing to actually use one if the majority voted for it?
Also, what are some of your favorite stages for fights? I'm wanting to avoid stages that have too many "extra" events going on in the background. For example, Pokemon Stadium only chages the platform, which is fine, but there are some stages (like New Pork City) that bring in extra characters. Thought?
One more thing. So far, the League hasn't been getting a lot of interest (we might have 5 players up to this point). On one hand, it may be good to start out small then build up, but on the other hand, it would be nice to have a bigger league in order to broaden everything. If you know anyone who would be interested, please let them know!

About Items
When I think about competitive gaming, I tend to think of people using their own skills, not relying on foreign objects to be the best (excluding games like Halo).
This said, I initially wanted to set up official League matches to use no items whatsoever. However, the new Smash Ball adds a very unique element to the game, and I think it would be exciting to let players use it.
So what's your take? Yes or no for the Smash Ball? Or are you in the camp of letting all items stay in? Comment here or on OtakuBoards.

Down With the Sickness
So I went and picked up SSBB today, but of course I had to be feeling bad. I won't give out the details, but it involved a migraine, and me tasting food for a second time...Oh well, the game is mine! Thanks to this headache, my little brother has gotten most of the play time so far, but I'll get into it more.
Everybody make sure to familiarize themselves with the game, 'cuz we'll start League play soon! If you want, go ahead an post friend codes over on OtakuBoards (link up above). Good luck, check back soon!

PMs
To anyone trying to send me a PM, I'm not receiving them like normal. I'm not intentionally ignoring you, it's just that that transition to a new server/website is bound to cause some problems, and the PM system just so happens to be one of those problems. I'm sure Adam is doing all he can to address any and all problems the new site has, so please be patient while he irons out the wrinkles.
If you're trying to PM me about the OCL, try PMing me on OtakuBoards, or leave a comment on the OCL World.
Thanks.

Welcome to the Otaku Champions League
For those of you who have been following my MyO and OtakuBoards pages, you know I've been trying to set this league up for a while now. Well, here it is, right on Worlds!
First and foremost, this league is for theOtaku users to come together and play Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it comes out (March 9th). If it gets large enough, there's a chance that more games could be added, but let's take it one step at a time.
If you're interested in joining, PM me either here or on MyO (username: MoonlightNexus). And please, this World is all about joining others to enjoy Brawl (and maybe other games), so please invite whatever friends you can!
I look forward to meeting you and hopefully having you in the OCL.
