So anyways where I left off. We set out on the bus ride to North Carolina. Most of us had stayed up all night so as soon as we were off 99 percent of us were out asleep. Some interesting things that did happen though, was that is apperently snowed on the way there. Crazy weather we've been having really.
Well, ten hours later and we make it just in time for the opening session. Music, prayer is was all good. Toke me afew to get into the mood of things but once I did there was no stopping me or anything there. It was a short opening session and afterwards there was pizza and drinks for everyone but we had to go check into our hotels. I roomed with three of my friends and it was pretty cool.
The next day we had to wake up early for the days events and sense we had been silly enough to go to bed insanely late we only got about three hours of sleep. We woke up to my crazy friend singing to us and jumping on top of poeple. Best wake up call I could have asked for. Pumped for the day ahead we set back out to the church and had the days opening, which I regret to say that I ended up falling asleep though about half of, sense we where just sitting in an arena. Maybe I was more sleepy then I thought. More music and sometime after we got lunch, pizza for everyone again this time outside sense it was nice. We all sat up on the hill in the grass and pretty much layed there for afew hours. Lots of photos taken of poeple stuffing their faces too lol.
Afterwards back inside for class sessions, the first one I went to was called "defeating Plurelism" I don't remember exactly what was said but it was a really good speech. The second class I went to was called " Healing for a wounded heart." It was good, I fell asleep through part of it again though and it ran late so I had to leave before it was over to get back on the bus and go to dinner with everyone. It was hectic, going to eat and back to the hotel and back to the church all in one hour. We got back in time for the closing session which was good, the speeches were ok and it was a really great moment when everyone came out with a flag from their own nations. It showed really how far god's influence has reached and was pretty amazing.
The real highlight of the evening though was when we were closing out with worship music for the night and everyone was singing it was soo wonderful. I got so into the spirit that I was determined not to stop singing till I passed out on the floor. apperently others where thinking the same thing becuase it lasted for more then another two hours. I however was starting to get wobbly knees at the two hour mark still determined that I could go longer but a little voice in the back of my head was like "don't you really want to sit down?" I was like Nuu i want to keep going! but then god was like "sit down fool!" and I kinda just slinked to the ground at that point. Afew minutes later my friends and roomate came to check on me, I tryed to get up and almost fell over the row of seats in front of me but god I felt great. Drained but great!. We left soon after that when I was able to walk without falling over again.
Going back to the hotel everyone was completely stoked. No one wanted to go to sleep so we all decided to take a trip down the road to waffle house. Of cuase sense the bus had left and none of us had taken cars with us we walked. left the hotel and went right, past the gas station we had been going to for snacks and down past it for afew blocks til we figured out we had gone the wrong way. So back down the road and toke a left at the hotel, under an overpass and across the highway all 30 something of us went. It was like a line of hobos or something, really funny. Anyways, when we finally found the waffle house it was tiny and already packed with poeple. There was no way we could have gotten in there anytime soon. So I sit down in the sidewalk outside, my ankles hurting cuase I had messed one up real bad before the trip and had stood up for two hours singing just afew hours before this. Most of us gave up at that point and headed back to the hotel. Me and a friend eventully sung by the gas station again later that night but other then that we tryed to settle down sense we had another early morning ahead of us. Of course going to sleep early wasn't an option again and we ended up jumping on beds and jumping on each other til our friend "the boss" made us turn out the lights cuase she wanted to sleep.
Another three hour sleep later we were up for our final morning at the conferance. It was sunday now. We all got our junk togather and checked out of the hotel and back onto the bus. The last morning was short, anotehr speech and more music but only about an hours worth all togather. We toke photos up on stage with everyone and then had to leave. Leaving the conference we eat lunch before leaving town and becuase the bus and to refuel. The bus apperently toke redicully long to do this though so we where all stuck out in a wendys parking lot for an hour. What do we find to entertain outselves. We all started playing "gigalo" if you don't know what that is it's pretty much a dance where you take turns dancing whatever you want.
Well, tha'ts almost the whole story, but I'm tired and will finish it up tomorrow. This is turning out to be a really long story that just keeps going but in a good way. =)
