Wrong Room?

“Jenjen!” I laughed happily as we started into the new school we were both enrolled in.

“Don’t call me that.” She sighed.

“Oh come on, just because we are both 17 doesn’t mean we can’t call each other nicknames!” I said.

“I don’t call you Ella anymore, so don’t call me Jenjen. Just call me Jenny.” She looked over at me a little annoyed.

“You sure you didn’t wanna get new clothes?” I asked pointing at her tattered attire.

“Positive.”

“And that you didn’t wanna stay at the house?” I asked.

“No, I’ve lived there long enough. I’m not family so I shouldn’t stay there.” She explained.

“Oh…ok!” I said. She was a good friend, even if it didn’t seem that way. I met the runaway while at the market. She had tried to steal an apple, and got caught. I ran over and paid for it, and she was able to stay with mom dad and I for a while, like 4 months, then she decided to move out. She sleeps outside, and in the homeless shelter sometimes. I didn’t know lots about her family. She got mad when I brought it up.

“Well, I guess this is it.” Jenny said as she opened the door.

I opened the door and saw an empty classroom. “Uh…well, lets just stay here. This is where we’re supposed to go.” I sat down in the nearest seat and Stella sat beside me.

“So, do you think, uh, the things we can do will affect us here in this school?” She asked.

“Shhhh! Noone can know!” I hissed at her.

“No one’s here though.” Stella blinked. I flicked my wrist a little and her hair blew out of her bun. She huffed and fixed it. Then I felt, very happy. I grinned at her.

“You ever use yours on me you’re dead!” I laughed, knowing she was using her power on me.

“You’re so much nicer when you smile Jenjen!” She said.

“Knock it off, please.” I asked. Suddenly I felt normal again.

“Sorry…” She said softly.

“Oh, it’s fine, whatever.” I sighed. I hated it. We were too different from others. Both of us. And it sucked. I heard the door open and I looked over. A girl with gorgeous strawberry blond hair walked in and shut the door behind her.

“Oh, hello!” She said as she turned back and saw Stella and I.

“Hiya!” Stella greeted. I just turned back and stared at the black board.

“What’s you’re names?” The new girl asked.

“I’m Stella and that is Jenjen, but don’t call her that, that’s a nick name, call her Jenny.” Stella explained. I ignored her.
