We walked to the house and Mr. Bloodgood and Vlad were standing outside the house smoking. I never did like the smell of smoke but it happens I guess. “Hey.” I waved as I got close enough.
“So who are your friends?” Mr. Bloodgood asked blowing his smoke away from me.
“This is Salem, Jenny, Stella, Alfred, Lucas, and Sebastian.” I said as I pointed to them.
“I’m guessing that you brought them because they have powers?” He asked.
“Jesse did you help him find everyone?” Vlad asked.
“No, I was dragged away by Lucas then when I stormed out of their house Max crash landed into me.” Jesse huffed.
“Yea, so us finding everyone was kind of an accident.” I laughed a little rubbing the back of my head.
“That is quiet all right.” Vlad said happily. “We will just have to find space.”
“Well we can use my house tomorrow then.” I offered.
“Vlad and I will think about it.” Mr. Bloodgood said “Where are the others?”
“They should already be here.” I mentioned and we walked into the house.
Sure enough they were down in the basement. Elizabeth picked her head up when I looked over at her and smiled. She waved a bit and stood up from where she was sitting. We introduced everyone and I went over to Elizabeth. “I hope this helps with practicing.” I stated handing her the bag.
She opened it and pulled out my blue tie-dye bouncy ball. “Um…thank you.” She said a bit confused.
“What I was thinking is that we could find a ramp and you can practice moving the bouncy balls up the ramp.” I explained.
“That is a great idea Max.” I jumped when I heard Vlad’s voice right behind me. “I will be right back.” Then he skipped away.
“I’m sorry.” I apologized quietly looking down at the ground.
“Don’t be, it’s alright, really.” She smiled.
Vlad came back with a little ramp and we followed him back upstairs. “You two can work together.” He said and set the ramp down. “After you are finished come back down stairs and find Finni or I.” He said happily then went back down stairs.
“So um…how about we start with one then add more as you practice.” I offered.
“That sounds good to me.” She agreed and we sat down on the floor.
She was really good at moving the bouncy balls up the ramp. It took her a few tries and she had to concentrate more when I kept adding another ball into the mix. She was having a hard time moving all of the bouncy balls as I put in the 8th one.
“How about we take a break then.” I offered considering that she had been at it for a while.
“Sure, why not.” She shrugged and we picked up the bouncy balls and I took the ramp with us back down stairs.
Mr. Bloodgood walked over to us “Dante is going to practice reading your mind while your flying around.” He stated.
“Okay.” I replied, but Elizabeth didn’t seem too happy about it.
“Dante.” He called and Dante weaved his way through everyone and got over to us. He seemed in a better mood today.
“What is it?” Dante questioned.
“You’re practice today is motion. I want you to try to read Max’s mind while he is flying around.” Mr. Bloodgood explained to him.
~Anna~
I walked out of my house and went for a walk. It was such a nice day out I didn’t feel like staying cooped up in the house doing homework. I walked on my usual route around to town and I saw a boy with messy light brown hair walking in front of me. I wanted something to talk to so I caught up to him.
“Hello.” I smiled up at him. He was easily 4 inches taller then me.
“Hello.” He greeted. “Who are you?” He questioned.
“My name’s Anna Wells, what’s yours?” I replied.
“Drake, it’s nice to meet you Anna.” He nodded.
“So are you out on a walk too?” I asked curious.
“Yea, I was bored once I got home.” He stated.
“I just didn’t want to stay inside, it’s such a nice day.” I sighed with a light smile on my lips as I looked around at the scenery.
