Healing Power!

Alf carried me to the house, and I smiled. “I’m feeling much better, thanks.” He set me down and I heard Max introducing everyone. I didn’t catch the two men’s names, but they were both feeling, happy, and there was some connection between both of them when they looked at each other. Maybe I would ask about it later. I felt something else in this house. Someone was happy, and feeling pain at the same time. I got the sense they were hurt. As we walked into the house, I slipped away and found a boy sitting on a couch, bruised and looking just plain sore. He jumped when he looked over and saw me.

“Uh, Hi?” He said.

“I’m Stella, what’s your name?” I walked closer and whispered. “Do you have powers too?” He blinked and nodded.

“I, read minds. And my name is Dante.” He said.

“Oh, that’s cool! So you’re the one Max said learned how to control your power. I wanna learn how to do the same thing.” I explained.

“Ok, what do you do?” He asked.

“Well, lucky for you, I heal and can feel and read and control emotions.” I smiled. “Hold still, I’ll have you fixed up in a jiffy!” I sat down next to him and happily healed him, and he was hurt pretty good, I didn’t want to ask how he got hurt I had a feeling it wasn’t a good story. “All done!” I smiled.

“Wow, thank you.” He stood up. “I feel a lot better.”

“Good! I don’t know where the rest of the group went though…”

“Basement.” He answered.

“Oh, alrighty.” I followed him, and he was called forward as soon as we got downstairs so I stood around waiting to see what I could do. I had no idea how to begin practicing.

I kept my mouth shut as we went downstairs. I had never imagined there were others like Stella and I out there. I was just a little scared, I didn’t want to hurt anyone else because I didn’t know how to use my power. I felt pretty pathetic. I kinda wanted to cry, but I didn’t want to appear weak to all these people. As I said before, everything backfires on me, no matter what it was. I try and try, but it never mattered. I was a failure and figured I always would be. I watched as others practiced, and wondered what I should do.
