As the group started to separate, I heard a startled yell. I turned to looked at Lucas.
"What is it?"
He picked up a folded piece of paper. "Someone hit me with this! And it's addressed to you!"
I quickly grabbed the piece of paper from him and opened it. "It's...It's from Finni..."
I scanned it quickly. "No..."
Mary Ann piped up. "W-what does it say?"
I started to read. "Vlad,
Don't come find me. I'll be fine. If you do want to find me, do it after everyone has practiced well enough to control their powers perfectly. Maybe in a month or two. I'm not sure. All ties for the outside world are being cut off to me. I'm sorry. I might die. But just. Don't. Come. Here."
"But...Why can't we go there?" Lucas asked nervously.
I looked on the back of the note, a typed note was taped onto the back. "Dear family or loved one of EXPERIMENT 07 We are very sorry to inform you that he has been selected to be tested in our facilities. EXPERIMENT 07 shall be completely cut off from the outside world. And if you attempt to enter, you shall be killed! This is the last you shall ever hear from them! Have a nice day!"
I crushed the little note. "T-THOSE FUCKING BASTARDS! I WILL FUCKING FIND THEM AND TEAR OUT THEIR INSIDES! I WILL MURDER THEM!"
I ran off, boiling with anger. Not knowing where I was going, or how I would get there. I just did not want anyone to find me. And without realizing it, I had dropped my ring and the little note from my beloved.
