I looked at Jenjen and nodded. “I’ll help, I can focus on their emotions and track them that way, come on! There’s no time to lose!” I said. I got everyone to their feet and healed who needed it. I was a little tired but took off running anyway. I could still feel the emotions. They were excited, a bit scared, and very, um, defensive I guess would be the best way to describe it. I heard the others following, and I had to stretch far to keep tracking.
“How much further?” Jesse called.
“They’re…still moving.” I huffed. I was getting really tired, but I pushed harder. I felt someone scoop me up, and I saw it was Alf.
“Tell me where to go, save your energy.” He said softly.
“Take the next right.” I said. We seemed to be going faster since I wasn’t holding anyone up anymore. “Now a left.” I said.
“Got it.” We ran a bit more, and then I felt them stop, more of a sense of relief.
“They stopped.” I said shutting my eyes.
“Stella no.” Alf commanded.
“I’m concentrating.” I said. “Take another left.” I felt us turn and I smiled. Another two blocks or so, we should be close.” I whispered.
