Tsukiro Ashimitsu ran circles around his room trying to hurry and get ready while Kotaishi sat and watched him run around with his eyes.
“Why are you so hyped up today?” Kotaishi asked.
“Because I’m going on a shopping trip with Kita,” Tsukiro called from his room, diving into his closet.
Tsukiro had somehow managed to sneak back into the Soul Society and to his room in the squad ten barracks in order to retrieve some proper "day on the town" clothes.
“A planned trip? Or an ‘I’m doing this cause I’m bored,’ sort of trip?”
“Haha, very funny.” Tsukiro stood up, holding up a t-shirt only to scrunch up his nose and throw it back into the pile. “But, yes, the latter.”
Kotaishi rolled his eyes. “Of course.” The leopard yawned. “So what brought this up?”
“I was making origami animals with Kita when I noticed it had been quiet all day and suggested that we do something we shouldn’t.”
“Out of boredom?”
“Yeah, mostly.”
“Of course,” Kotaishi said again.
Tsukiro ignored his zanpakuto and proceeded to find just the right outfit for the afternoon. After half an hour of searching all of his human clothes, he had finally settled on a pair of slim cut, grey, jeans, purple and black high tops, a white shirt with purple paint splatter designs and a white hoodie with fluffy lining on the inside.
After getting dressed, Tsukiro left his room, throwing a “be back in a minute” over his shoulder to Kotaishi. He quietly slinked down the corridors to the lieutenant’s room. He looked around to make sure no one was watching before pressing his ear to the door. Everything was quiet inside. Good, she was gone, just like he expected. He pressed his hand over the lock and gathered his energy, pooling it in the lock so that when he pulled his hand away, the lock was filled up with ice, the ice molding to the lock perfectly with a piece sticking out about an inch. Tsukiro turned the “ice key” and the lock opened up. Tsukiro allowed himself a smirk of triumph before turning the ice into water and tossing it into a nearby plant as he walked into the lieutenant’s room.
He spared the room’s details no mind. He was here for only one thing and one thing only: the credit cards from the human realm that the lieutenant kept for when she went there on missions and what not. Tsukiro had convinced himself that he wasn’t stealing, only borrowing since he was going to return them afterwards plus by her something nice, then pay off the bill once he saved up, oh, about three of his paychecks.
You’re horrible… Kotaishi sighed in his mind.
Oh hush. At least I’m going to buy her something then pay off what I spent.
If you insist…
Then, Tsukiro saw what he had come for: a pink designer purse with a sleek cat printed on the canvas.
Jackpot.
He quietly skipped over to it and opened it up. Again, he ignored the gory, girly contents of the bag and pulled out a pink and black wallet. He snapped it open to find five, shiny plastic cards in their holders. He pulled out three of them, snapped shut the wallet and put it back in its place, closing her bag again. Quickly, he made a beeline out of there, but not before stopping to relock the door, and ran back to his room.
Hopefully, once Rangiku Matsumoto found out her cards were gone, she would only be mad until Tsukiro returned with her gift. Then, maybe she wouldn’t be so upset. Disappointed maybe, but hopefully not mad.
Once Tsukiro was back in his room, he saw Kotaishi shaking his head at him.
“Horrible child…”
