I watched as Akeno closed his eyes and faited on the couch. That was...and interesting reaction....I thought, arching an eyebrow. My mind flashed back to the shock in his eyes and I felt the cat ears on my hear hang low as i was overcome by sadness. I was sooooooo hoping that he would understand and except my feelings,I thought, even more saddened. I sat in between Akeno's legs and curled into a ball, my tain wraping around my feet as i felt the sering pain take the spots in which my cats parts were and soon, they vanished once again.....
Cat Callers.....
The gaurdians of the cat spirits....
Meant to live thier lives guiding and filled with lonliness.....
I had thought that that was about to end with Akeno......
But Maybe not.....or do I still have time?
Time to change Fate!
******AKENO******
I could feel something wet on my forhead as i squinted into the dull light of my apartment.My chest felt as it there where bricks piled ontop and my eyes were almost made of led, but still,somehow, I managed to open them and lift myself up onto my elbows. "Uhggg," I complained. I ran a hand threw my hair and felt the wet paper towel stuck to my forehead. Then, looking down at myslef, I found the source of the weight on my chest.
Shiji, with his long sleeves rolled up to his elbows and his legs streched out inbetween my own. My black tank-top was pushed up higher than my belly-button and I felt Shiji's hands drags thier way up the sensitive skin there as he stirred in his sleep. I shivered. Eekk! I thought. Since when did Shiji fall asleep on me?!
"And more importantly...how am i supposed to move?!" I asked aloud to the empty room. I sighed and tried to wiggle my way out from under the small boy. I managed to get my chest free of him but as i smirked and tryed to pull away faster, Shiji stirred again and his hands suddenly gripped the buckle on my silver studded belt and i let out a little cry in surprise.
"Never....leave me....." shiji said in his sleep. He wrinckled his nose in a very cute way that would probly make some girls screech. I looked wide-eyed at him.
Geez, for such a small kid, he sure is a heavy sleeper!I thought incrediously!
SO... here i was, half lying on a couch with a potentialy gay girly-boy holding onto my belt buckle with surpiseing strength uncontiously close to raping me. Yup. I was in a rather interesting situation. And to make it worse, my stomach groweled. Damn, i was hungry. I looked over the top of the couch at the digital clock on the oven in the kitchen. The bright green lights told me that it was 6:34pm.
Heh...oh shit,I've been out for a long time.I thought, my eye twitching half from anger and half from my current perdicament. I sighed and thought up a plan which was hard because of the fact that Shiji's fingers slid under the top of my boxers' elastic when he stirred.
Shit...you know what, I don't give a DAMN if he wakes up or not!!I proclaimed angrily as I grabbed Shiji's hands to pry them off my buckle. When i succesfully got away, I jumped of the couch imeadiatly and onto the small table just in case. Shiji wrinckled his nose again and thrashed around till he fell of the edge of the couch, muttering something.
He fell with a rather large smack just enough to make me worry a sliver. I peeked over the oppisite end of the table where he'd fallen---
---And just about had my face punched in as Shiji sat up all of a sudden and flung his hands out to stretch. he yawned and i could see two small, pointed canine teeth. I think i have a dangerous thing in my place...even my thought "voice" was meek.
I stood up and sighed angrily. "Geez...your so damn bothersome!" I gumbled under my breath. Shiji looked up at me through sleepy eyes.
"Well, hey there Akeno!" he said happily. I just glared as i straightened my cloths. When i peeked down at him he was standing and soing the same....but one thing was different than a minute ago. Behind him...an orange tail was swishing back and forth. My eyes traveled up to his head where two orange pierced cat ears sat happily. What the hell?! I thought. That's when i noticed Shiji unbottoning his -my- shirt that hung low. My cheeks pinkened.
"Oi! what are you doing?!" i asked.
he sighed. "It's too hot in here!"he complained while stretching his arms above his head and tensing the muscles on his chest (what few he did have).
My heart beat flashed once hard and powerful and that's all it took. there was a sering of pain ontop of my head and just where my tailbone was. I gasped once and looked down at myself. The pain was disapearing now and there, behind myself was a indigo blue tail. i gasped and flung my hands up to the top of my head and felt the fuzziness of two cat ears, the right pirced with the familiar skull earing. And i had thought it was just a bad dream...I thought meekly again.
I was snapped back to my senses at the sound of Shiji's high pitched laughter and my shocked gaze flash over to him. he was half doubled over in laughter, his tail swishing violently and his ears twitching at the end of each laugh just to start another.
"Gomen!" he said, wipeing his eye of a tear as his laughter reached it's end. "It's just too funny."
(*yet another author note: Gomen means "sorry" in Japanese!!*)
I scowled at him and felt the ears on my head hand low and drop back the way a cats' would if it was as pissed as i was. he stopped finally and sat back down on the couch.
"I thought i was right before but now i'm possitive that I'm correct," he smirked wickedly at something.
"Correct?! Correct about GOD DAMN what?!" I hissed at him and felt my face redden a bit.
"I'm correct," he elaborated."about what makes you Turn!"
"Turn?" I asked, my anger disapearing.
"Yup. Turning is what this is called," he gestured to the ears and tail." It's what happens to Cat Callers when they have a specific emotion stronger than the rest. For me it's happiness...and for you it's--" he smirked to himself and looked down, his eye covered by his hair as he spat out more laughter.
"It's what?! What is it?!" I asked impatantly putting my hands on my hips.
He stiffled another laugh and looked up at me through mocking eyes. "Yours is quite amusing. It's"--another smirk--" heh, It's Embaressment!!" he nearly chocked on his own laughter as he fell to the side of the couch in a fit of spaztic laughter.
I closed my eyes and felt my face redden even more. I didn't have to take this. I walled stiffly over to my bedroom door, opened it,and slamed it shut with extra force. Damn boy,I thought as i put my back to my door and slid down.
******SHIJI******
I stopped immediatly and stared at the door of Akeno's room. Maybe i took it too far.... I thought with guilt. I felt my ears hang down and my tail stop it's movement, and they dissapeared again. I stood from the couch and walked over to his door. I kneeled there and scratched at the wood with my long, sharp yellow paint-chipped nails.
"Oi..." i said in a low tone. "Oi...Akeno. I'm really sorry. i took it too far. Please come out." If i had my cat ears they would have hung as low as the floor...that's how bad i felt.
"Oi! can you hear me?" I asked in a higher, but not anymore quilty, tone.
"Yeah, i can hear you!" Akeno's muttered snap came through the wood. he was just on the other side.
"Will you come out??" I asked.
"No."
"Why?"
"Because you annoy me,"his answer stung alittle but that was normal Akeno.
"I won't do it again!"I pleaded!
There was no answer but the generic brass knob slowly turned after a long moment. I looked up and there stood Akeno, his wripped jeans and black tank wrinckled from sleeping. He didn't look at me but his cheeks where slightly pink. "Don't do it again," he said, glancing down.
I smiled and flung myself at his leg where i hugged tightly.
"OKAY!!" I chirped as my ears and tail were back once more, but i couldn't feel the pain as i felt Akeno's ringed hand ruffle my slightly wet hair.
