Shika's graduation is only a few hours away. She's off taking a final nap to try and get her coughing to go down, while mom's ironing her gown. We're all going out to ihop afterwards, where I'm sure the realization that it's all over will finally hit her. It took me a few weeks after graduation for it to really sink in. I'm hoping it'll be quicker for her. Then, she can start her real life.

It'll also mark the end of the whole school experience for our entire family. Eighteen years of being tied to this area because we didn't want to move out of the school district, and now that restriction will have been lifted. Oh the freedom. Plus, we can go on vacation any time of the year now. Colorado aspens in the fall, here we come!
