Some Sketches and Some Old Stuff

I haven't done a lot of doodling these past couple days, 'cause I was getting ready to move into my dorm. :V I'M ALL MOVED IN NOW, THOUGH! Not sure how much time I'll have this semester for drawing... Hopefully my workload won't be too bad. I'll be trying to work on stuff for Zenkaikon, for the most part, so idk how much I'll update this world with doodles and stuff. BUT YEAH. Anyway, here's some stuff. :V

I have this big-ish sketchbook (11 inch by 14 inch) that's pretty fun to draw in, but it's kind of weird for me to work with since I'm not used to drawing so large. The proportions are weird for me to do, aha;;; I also don't know what's up with Gabe's outfit. It's weird for me to draw clothes for him, because he pretty much wears the same t-shirts and tank tops all the time. :I

I hate trying to make Gabe's hair make sense. IT MAKES NO SENSE, GAH. SO WEIRD AND SPIKEY! But yeah, I guess this is what it's supposed to look like... .3.

I like drawing Noland in skirts and heels and things, but he doesn't actually wear clothing like this in-story. Canonically (??? is that the phrasing?), he's only tries on his mom's heels in elementary or middle school out of curiosity. His mom gets mad at him at the time, so he doesn't bother with trying to understand fashion anymore. He does have a sort of fascination with women's fashion compared to men's fashion, but he has a pretty poor eye for fashion in general.
Idk what I'm talking about. This stuff isn't that important to Noland's character. :V JUST SOME RANDOM STUFF, I GUESS, IF YOU WERE INTERESTED....

The rest of these drawings are old stuff from 12th grade and my art class last year. 8D

Some old drawing of Noland! He looks really young. I'm not sure if he's supposed to be college aged here, or not. -u-b This is from May-ish, 2013. ...Idk what else to say about this, aha;;;

This is from my high school art class in late 2012 or early 2013. The assignment was to draw your head literally being open, and drawing what's on your mind. Or something. I focused on Gabe a lot in senior year, so I drew him coming out of my head. The Japanese on the bottom was supposed to say "what are you doing," but I messed up and wrote "what do you do." WHOOPS.
I'm kind of surprised with the shading I did in 12th grade. :V EVIDENTLY, EBONY PENCIL IS REALLY GOOD FOR VALUE DIFFERENCES.

An early assignment from my college art class, last year. This is from late 2013. We had to draw a pair of shoes and draw them, focusing on line weight variation.
I really like working with lines, when I don't have to use ink...! Inked line arts just bother me because I hate not being able to erase. orz I rely way too much on my eraser, but I CAN'T HELP IT I'M WEAK. And make lots of mistakes, haha.

AND UH... I guess that's it! Have a nice week, folks! :V And good luck with school, if you're going back to school or are already in school!
