This reminds me of Burned by Ellen Hopkins in many ways. First of course is the name of the song, it fits perfect! Also in the book the girl is scared when this boy really loves her. She has been taught not to let a boy in but she just finds something different about this boy. She really cares about him and he really cares about her. She is just afraid of getting "Burned".
