Medium Project # 4

The three main characters in the book Pictures of Hollis Woods, are Hollis Woods, the Raegan family, and the mustard woman. First, Hollis Woods, was left in the woods, by her parents when she was just a baby, without even a blanket. So she was sent from, foster family to foster family, all her life. And when she got to each one they already, knew of her as, a "mountain of trouble." She was known as this because she would run away from the homes that she was sent to if she didn't like them. She never goes to school, and she finally found a home that she likes. Her foster parent, Josie, is an old art teacher, and is losing her memory so now Hollis must be taken away from her. The next house that she was sent to is the Raegan family.

The Raegan family, had a mother named, Izzy. A old man (which was the father). And a son named Stephan. And Christina the new 6-week-old baby. Hollis got along with everyone in this family. She knew that she could always talk to Izzy, who kept things under control, and made candy alot. Stephan and the old man were always fighting, but they still loved each other. Hollis and Stephan became very good friends, and began doing alot of things toghether. The new baby Christina that Izzy just had makes the family complete for Hollis.

Last is the mustard woman, she is the one in charge of putting Hollis in the right homes. Hollis gave her, her name because, the first time she saw her she had a large mustard stain on her sweat pants. Hollis doesn't like her that much because she is going to take her away from Josie, and Josie is the one house that Hollis is actually happy with and doesn't want to run away from.
