The Shark House - Chapter 39 - Awakening

The battle between Zoe and Lucille begun as Lucille wasted no time setting up giant billiard balls in the arena to launch at Zoe, the scarlet clad dancer put on her masquerade mask as flames started to ignite around her flamenco dress.
"Quite the flashy entrance, let's see if you can dodge pool balls" Lucille unleashing the large balls with her pool cue in several instances.
"Remember Hellcat, a lot of Smash Zone fighting uses a heavy dose of imagination and I can tell that you secretly desired to become a dancer and that's why it gave you this form but it's so much more than just flamenco" Zoe remembering Alice's words stamped the ground and started an intense dance that was creating and shaping flames to stop the pool balls in their place, opening a hand fan to spread the intense heat in the arena which took on the shapes of small birds to break each billiard ball.
The flames then started to brighten into a pink colour before erupting into a sea of cherry blossoms as Zoe reveals herself in a dancing kimono.
Lucille was fighting against the sea of petals as she was shifted by wave after wave of blossoms, Zoe then created two fans and spun them around until they burst into pom-poms as Zoe revealed herself as a cheerleader, Zoe dodged the attacking Lucille as the pool player tried to strike the ever transforming dancer, Lucille began losing her footing as the ground began shaking as a heavy base dropped, this time Zoe became a street dancer with the heavy beats making it impossible for Lucille to stand.
The petals began to dance again this time around Zoe as the blossoms transformed her into a ballroom dancer clad in a pink rose ball gown.
"Damn it, no more" Lucille struggled to fight the dancer.
Zoe gave the most beautiful smile as she took the last remaining pool ball and exploded it like a huge firework revealing Zoe's final form as a sexy Samba dancer revealing the extent of her incredible body to the world with no fear.
Lucille was launched off the ground with fireworks and exploded in the sky spelling out the name Blazing Rose.
"Damage limit exceeded, the winner is Blazing Rose" called the referee.
The performance earned Zoe a standing ovation from the watching crowd, a new Bayside celebrity had awakened.
"I can't be out done by you" Alice walking into the stadium passed Zoe. "I'm proud of you, everyone is" Alice took off her glasses and spoke with her adult voice.
Zoe went to sleep shortly after, smiling the whole time.
"Are you ready to show your true self now?"
Zoe touched the mirror, the reflection revealed the smiling beauty Zoe was always meant to be, the woman Zoe's mother knew she would become. Fearless.

The Shark House - Chapter 38 - No Longer A Tomboy

What? I'm back here again, I'm not in the Eden Dome so why am I back in this headspace.
"Sounds like there are some things still troubling you"
Now that you mention it, yes, there is something still troubling me; when I first logged into Smash Zone, body scan disaster aside, it gave me the look of a flamenco dancer adorned in passionate flames.
"Do you not like dancing?"
I haven't danced since I was ten and it was only ballet, I was pretty much told to leave because I was so tall the male dancers struggled to dance with me. But that's not the thing that's troubling me; Alice told me that the form I'm given in Smash Zone from the body scan is a reflection of my true self, so I guess the question is, what am I becoming and can I even be called a tomboy anymore?
"As tough as you act, the feminine part of yourself never left, the Tomboy persona was a defence to help you get through school and get you on the Highway, looking at your own reflection after we last spoke, what do you see?"
Just my reflection, traded out the shorts and tee for a form fitting racing suit and a jacket that actually fits, my new rose tattoo is visible, my hair and face look like I actually put some effort in, styled and made up, I've also noticed that people in Chaos Engine have started calling me Zoe instead of Hellcat, even the media were shocked when I emerged on that Red carpet in that dress, even though it was an outfit redesigned from the prom dress I never wore, it's almost as if I'm evolving into a new person.
"I can feel your heart flutter just thinking about that dress, when you are ready, touch the mirror and reveal your true self"
No, I still feel like there's something missing, something that will make me feel complete.
"Don't keep me waiting, I'm excited to meet the real you"
I may even find out during this battle.
"Huh? Damn I must've dosed off" Zoe shook herself awake.
"Might want to hurry up, your on next" Alice was at her computer finishing off her character build.
Zoe looked at her character build and added a few extras to it, including a new name, smiling with a slight blush while doing so.
"That smile suits you, go make your debut, best friend" Alice smiled as Zoe left.
In the arena, the Billiard Queen was waiting impatiently for Zoe.
The crowd were whipped into a frenzy as a radiant figure wrapped in the most beautiful flamenco dress walked onto the stage, adorned by many rose motifs, the alluring scarlet clad vixen gave a look that made everyone watching blush, she even blew a kiss to the crowd.
"No way this is the same Hellcat" thought the Billiard Queen Lucille.
The referee received an instruction.
"Entering the arena to take on the Billiard Queen I'd like to introduce, Blazing Rose!"

The Shark House - Chapter 37 - Cerulean Wizard

The name Giro Morgan can be seen in two different lights, the first is a gamer who along with his team reached the top of the world of pro gaming, the second as the face of the Shark House; many would ask why such talent would consider a pointless endeavour of trying to help people out of spiralling debt, something Razzmatazz would constantly remind Giro of.
But there was a clear indication that the man known as Cerulean Wizard not only never left, but has gotten a lot more dangerous to battle.
His next opponent Trinity, the Irish Terminator was about to find out the hard way; in the Smash Zone arena stood a woman with white hair channelling the grungy style of diesel punk vs Giro who stood as a masked wizard with more wands than perhaps needed.
"Sure you got enough wood there?" Trinity jested.
Giro laid out all his wands stuck in the ground ready for battle.
"You have 90 seconds" Giro said without context.
Slightly annoyed by Giro ignoring her joke, Trinity went all in and set off several miniguns and micro missiles only to be met with a barrier created by magic, despite running round Giro shooting, there was a constant block in the way ranging from bullets freezing, melting and disintegrating through thunder.
Rather than waste any more bullets, Trinity sliced up the wands with a hunting knife and then blasted Giro away with an arm cannon.
Giro barely took damage and dusted himself down. "60 seconds" he said.
Trinity tried attacking with a knife but Giro was just dodging, the rare attacks she did land barely managed a scratch on the wizard.
Razzmatazz was disgusted that Giro wasn't even trying to fight.
After moving around the arena dodging enough times, Giro drew one more wand. "30 seconds" was all he said.
Trinity now pissed off, summoned a huge plasma cannon and fired a huge laser blast, Giro split the blast with his wand so using the opening Trinity jumped over and elbowed Giro in the back triggering an explosion from explosives in her large gauntlets.
Giro noticeably damaged, coughed up some blood from the impact as well as spilling more on the ground. "Time's up" Giro clapped his hands together and the ground glowed with a high intensity. Giro's eyes glowed with a thundery intensity as the light erupted and engulfed the entire arena and Trinity, the light further erupting with a loud roar of sheer thunder.
The light cleared and after a few seconds, Trinity slammed hard on the ground, completely burned out and out cold from the pillar of light.
"Damage limit exceeded, the winner by knockout is Cerulean Wizard!" The referee announced.
Giro exited the VR coughing up some more blood as the medics extract Trinity from hers.
Razzmatazz still didn't look impressed but he couldn't hide the fact that Giro was making him nervous.

The Shark House - Chapter 36 - Silent Jealousy

In the ladies locker area, Hellcat and Alice were getting ready for their matches when Hellcat's mother arrived, Alice who is normally comfortable around everyone tried not to be noticed.
"Oh my god is that Alice?" Hellcat's mother called out Alice.
"Hey Ramonaaaaa" Alice took a huge motherly hug from Hellcat's mother called Ramona, the blonde girl stuffed in her enormous cleavage.
"I thought I was going to die" Alice used her adult voice, "I've got something to do" Alice quickly left the mother and daughter to it.
Hellcat had to ask. "You know Alice?"
"Her toy store is next to my photo studio, I've known her for her whole life" Ramona acting all motherly.
Hellcat went onto to explain how she came to meet Alice.
"Dave is one lucky boy, she's a keeper" Ramona happily stated, Hellcat wasn't so convinced.
"Talking to Alice sometimes feels like I'm talking to Britney Lincoln again" Hellcat feeling down; Ramona put down her tea cup.
"Alice is not jealous of your body, she's jealous of your relationship with Dave as well as your brothers as well as me and your father. She's one of the grandchildren of mayor Gracia, her upbringing wasn't easy" Ramona explained.
Hellcat wasn't so sure, but it's obvious how much of Alice's day to day demeanour was an act, Alice wasn't far off 30 years old and it was noticeable how much makeup was covering up her burn out marks, despite how much shit Alice gave her, Hellcat at least felt a bit more ready for her match, not to mention how much better she got with her driving.
The talk was interrupted by an argument outside the changing area.
"No means no Nero, the toy store is not for sale!" Alice was arguing with Razzmatazz.
"Get with the times, the future is VR, your store is failing, just sell up already" Razzmatazz arrogantly stated.
The argument was interrupted by Giro on his way to the arena.
"Not enough to ruin your own teams, so you try and ruin businesses as well Nero" Giro sternly replied.
"Well if it isn't the waste of talent, like you're one to talk, Shark House will be dead and demolished next year, the future is Razzmatazz, even Gracies understands that, once I win this tournament, I'll establish myself as the new technological force in Bayside" Razzmatazz pointed at Giro.
"Is that why you payed off all my teammates not to compete in your tournament, manipulated the bracket to match us up against our weaknesses and hired Hidden Ace to train you? Karma is going to be your undoing, in fact I'm already betting that Dawn Shriners will defeat you in the next round" Giro walks away.
"Dumb ass, Firestorm has never defeated me and she won't today" Razzmatazz walks away.
Alice not wanting to talk to anyone walks to the breakroom, Hellcat stops her by hugging her the same way as Ramona.
"I don't need your sympathy Hellcat!" Alice putting on a brave face but couldn't hide her tears.
"You piss me off, but we're still friends, so stop the acting already" Hellcat sat down with Alice to let her cry as long as she needs to.
This moment made Ramona a very proud mother.

The Shark House - Chapter 35 - Blood Raven

Luke was finding it tough to even lay a finger on Warhammer, the destructive force the armoured demon was unleashing made it impossible to come close to strike.
Luke like his name sake the Blood Raven was extremely clever, an all rounder with a strategy to topple impossible odds, Warhammer was just another of those juggernauts to defeat.
"Okay, Warhammer's style is primitive but fast for a heavy weapon user, none of my magic attacks work, there's no way Warhammer can get away with perfect stats, I've got a theory, lets try it" Luke tried a binding attack which did manage to grab Warhammer.
"Time to unmask you Warhammer" Luke charged at the titan but Warhammer broke free by freezing the binds and shattering them, Warhammer went into a frenzied attack, Luke took some damage from shrapnel.
"Christ, what a temper, now I'm more certain about who Warhammer is" Luke's eyes glowed and he sent out hundreds of Ravens to attack Warhammer.
Warhammer got frustrated by the birds and was starting to panic, steam was coming out from the armour as Warhammer slammed the ground with the hammer turning the entire arena into a new ice age.
Luke had no chance to avoid and took several impalements from ice shards.
"They weren't kidding about the force feedback, that really hurt, Shit!" Luke removes the ice shards and stumbles in front of Warhammer who was ready to finish him off.
"You know, for a murderous juggernaut you have really soft hands" The comment from Luke made Warhammer miss a strike allowing Luke to punch Warhammer, the force knocking them back cracking the black armour and dropping the hammer.
Luke followed by striking Warhammer with the large iron hammer, launching the armoured demon into the arena boundary.
"Damage limit exceeded, the winner by knockout is Blood Raven!" The referee announced.
The dust started to clear where Warhammer landed, among the pieces of broken armour revealed a woman, looking badly hurt and struggling to stay conscious.
"How did you know I was a woman?" she asked Luke.
"Five reasons, 1. When we shook hands it felt too small and soft to be a male hand, 2. It looked like you no showed at the party but that meant you were out of costume, 3. I saw someone in a suit deliberately avoiding Hellcat that must have been you, 4. You were getting desperate to finish me off when I threatened to unmask you and 5. Your armour looks tough but it's an illusion it's actually about as effective as tissue paper so you looked quick with a heavy weapon" Luke was in a different league to Warhammer.
With one failed attempt to stand, Warhammer fell unconscious, medics helped extract her from the VR arena as Luke logged out as well before stumbling from his own injuries.
Giro was next, a few drops of sweat indicating that he wasn't fully comfortable with his match up.
