At the end of 2024, Popuri Meadows stood before the watching crowd of Gracies Grand Ballroom as she is crowned Queen of the Ball, called many titles including, Part-time Poppy, Bayside's Princess and the Queen of Marathons, Popuri earned adoration from Bayside's public, by Christmas, she left the Shark House debt free and moved into her own property back in Stardust Village, taking over the Postal Service and expanding it city wide.
Watching on from the crowd was a young 19 year old girl with long midnight blue hair wearing a re-designed dark blue prom dress and jewellery borrowed from her mother, clutching a raffle ticket she picked up on entry.
This girl is Amy Virgo, a convenience store worker from the Lakewood region, she ended up at Gracie's Ball in the first place after being selected at random among hundreds of workers of Starmart as part of Gracies initiative to have a representative from every business in Bayside regardless of position in the business.
Her raffle ticket gave her the chance to take home a late Christmas present, everything from makeover vouchers to top of the range products sold by Gracies with the top prizes including a weeks vacation to the Eden Dome to a car prepped and engineered by Chaos Engine, the grand prize was life changing as it allowed the winner access to any career in Bayside regardless of prior qualifications and can try out anything from the 1st week of 2025 right up to the final week ending with the 75th annual Gracie's Ball; the program created by Mayor Gracia McCoy has helped many people over the decades.
The Mayor's secretary Shizuka drew the raffle, all Amy hoped for was just any gift, even a plushie would've done but as the raffle continued, Amy was dejected as her name never got mentioned, she was ready to leave the Ball on the Grand Prize announcement when Shizuka spoke "Miss Amy Virgo of Lakewood"
Amy just screamed a high pitched "what!" As the young girl shaking in shock from the announcement had to be helped on stage by Popuri.
Popuri held Amy's hand to calm her down.
"You're going to have a wonderful year Amy" Popuri whispered to the 19 year old.
Those watching could see the potential resonating from Amy, who knows what kind of person she'll become.
