Let me tell you about Corona.
Corona is a gemstone, part of the Sunstone family, it was discovered in Bayside during the Witches era but took until the Industrial period to even be used in alchemy and about 25 years ago to even have a use in manufacturing, a collaboration between nine families produced nine cars each powered by a different colour of Corona gem, it's ability to store energy far exceeds any known fuel cell even today, 20 times the capacity of the longest life lithium car battery, meaning that it has a range of 50,000 miles lifespan, components made of corona for computer use make the Smash Zone VR system a reality.
But 25 years ago, the project while initially a success wasn't compatible with early 2000s car components, the nine cars were kept stored away, the other issue of course being that the creation of a truly fuel less car would cause political turmoil with world nations and major oil groups.
Aqua Sonic, was owned by our grandfather, hidden in plain sight disguised as a life sized toy car, using what I knew, I finished the initial mechanics with Blue Corona components and had Dave Dreamer test it, it ran well enough but handled poorly but it attracted people wanting to steal corona, Lisa Cascione stole a corona gem to hand to a crypto company in exchange for the return of a motorcycle called White Assassin, suspected to be the White Corona vehicle as the Cascione family are named in Grandpa's diary, this story was backed up by Misao and her Black Bulls group.
"That's a nice story Alice but what has this got to do with Dave Dreamer?" Wendy says interrogating her sister.
"Dave Dreamer is an engineer, he's the only qualified engineer to operate the machine that makes Corona components, you know full well that if we get the highways on our side, we win the election and I believe Dave is the key to all this" Alice stated.
"Explains why you tried to have him marry you, only to spit it back in your face" Wendy laughed which Alice wasn't happy about it.
"I have a bet for you, what if I put a marriage bounty on Dave Dreamer's head?" Wendy says drinking a scotch.
"Every single woman will want him and if he wants to be free from it, he'll have to come crawling to me, then we can buy his contract and have him make corona components for us, election won"
Alice was surprised.
"That's surprisingly evil of you"
"What can I say, I didn't get to my position by looking pretty all the time" Wendy drank her scotch and set the bounty up.
"If he comes crawling to me, I'll keep the toy store and you'll be my secretary, if he mans up and marries someone else, you get your toy store back along with Aqua Sonic"
Alice reluctantly agreed, Wendy proved to be more sinister than the former majorette.
