Three more were intruded before Lance looked at Yume. "Come on, let's make sure now," he said aloud. Yume nodded back, and both broke into the air flying high enough to be believed not to be what they really were. Lance flew in a near full circle through the area as his Eagle eyes stared down at the world below. Yume appeared to be looking as well.
"What is that?" Yume asked, and suddenly Lance tensed as he looked down where Yume was pointing. Lance's eyes grew as he caught sight of the smoke in the distance.... and then the fire working its way on the area. He looked at Yume who also looked back in fear. "Did the humans start a...." Yume said aloud but broke off as Lance nodded. Both of them dived downwards and towards the ground at a break neck pace.
In half a second they were on the ground again. Lance was breathing hard from the sudden intoxication of extra air pressure, but he recovered in half a second. "There's a fire about a quarter of a mile off!" he shouted. "We need to get out of here!"
"But what about the sleeping animals?" Kita asked aloud. Lance's eyes grew. This was a forest! Did that mean there were more of them? More sleeping creatures that could potentially die because of the fire that was no doubt started by the humans?
"We have to get everyone out," Lance said sharply.
We had come to the a clearing were foxes were sleeping. I myself didn't have much of a family. When I had hatched, I was ready to take on the world. I hadn't known my parents or that much of my siblings. The atmosphere was getting to tiring for me...

I wiped away my tears as I listened to the conversation everyone was having....Like blah blah we cant sit around...blah blah...we need to do something...
Eventually Kiki, the animal that was kinda like me, the desert lynx.....said we should introduce ourselves.....
After she said who she was I decided to join in....I jumped down from the tree and walked over to the group.
"I'm Rylee....and you prolly already know that I'm a bobcat..." I say to everyone "and I agree with the tiger we need to do something...and if we have to fight....I fight" I say extending my claws out.
I looked at all the foxes around the area. No matter how bad it stunk, I had to face the fact that this was the girls family. I just looked around for a bit. After soaking it in, I looked at the ones that the fox had referred to as her parents. Parents...
"Hurry along, Kiki!" said my mother with a smile plastered on her muzzle. "Get your brothers and sis-"
"We aren't getting anything done by spacing out and thinking about our families" said the tiger, interrupting my thought.
"Taiga's right! We need to think up a plan. Or something we can do next," the fox girl agreed. True, we need to do more than sit around and hope for everything to get better on its own.
"Well, what can we do?" the snake asked.
"We could try to find a cure for the disease" the bat girl offered. I nodded in agreement.
"Yes! If we try hard enough, we should be able to find it and cure all these animals!" the fox exclaimed with a bright smile.
"First of all, we have to make sure that we're safe. And we can only do that if we get away from here," the tiger said with a sigh.
"Yume and I could fly around and see if there is anywhere we could go," said the eagle. Yume being the bat girl? There's one name down! A bunch more to go...
"That would be great!" said the fox.
"Hey, what're your names?" asked the tiger.
"I'm Yume" the bat answered. DING DING DING! I won the game of put the name to the face!
"Lance" the eagle said. Lance! Another name! I was finally learning my group!
"Yeah yeah," the tiger said as the two left. People started to mill around, probably out of impatience and hunger.
"Uh, guys?" I said. "Maybe we should introduce ourselves..." that brought them to a stop.
"Yeah! Good idea!" said the fox girl.
"Well, I'm Kiki, and as you probably all know, I'm a desert lynx!" I pointed to my ears with a smile.
