Run!

“It looks like he’s running from something,” Lance said aloud as his eye caught the work of panic on the snake's face instead of a fighting spirit.

“I think it was that,” a bat that had just appeared said pointing out a horde of doctors chasing the snake. A...bat... another sky walker.... Lancer thought to himself before the other thought kicked in.

“Maybe we should... RUN!” a lynx yelled. This was exactly what Lance thought.

“Don’t let a single one of them get away!” a woman yelled “Or you’ll all be looking for a new job.”

Oh crap.... Lance thought to himself as he saw the guns being aimed. "RUN!" he shouted before taking off in the sky and flying up a few hundred feet. Using the speed of his wings, Lance was able to dodge the tranquilizer guns being shot at him, yet his eye was distracted from the other animals down below. His eye turned downwards a fraction, and he saw the snake was having the most trouble getting away at that point. Before another thought hit him, Lance dove down and seized the snake's straight jacket and took off flying again. The snake seemed to look for a moment with terror at being taken off the ground, yet that was the last emotion Lance saw as he began to focus on getting higher in the sky and getting away from the flying needles.

Ugh damn this snake is heavy..... Lance thought to himself as he continued to fly upwards. His eye moved down below, and he noticed that the other animals were continuing to run but were having trouble with a large fence that had been put up. He batted his wings still carrying the snake and continued to fly.

"Put me down!" the snake ordered as he managed to get the muzzle that was on himself off. "Put me down!"

Lance ignored him. The eagle eye moved again, and he caught sight of the bat also flying and dodging the storm of needles. Again his eye moved, and he caught sight of the fence. There was something....... "Don't touch the fence!" Lance shouted unsure of why he wanted them not to touch it but fearful that it would do something. However, in that moment what appeared to be a fox was moving to climb it. His eyes widened and what could only be described as lights jumped off the fence, and the fox was forced back. Electric? A weird thought hit Lance, yet he was unsure of what it mean, and he wondered how he could possibly think of a word to describe what it was. "The fence is electric!" he shouted. "Don't touch it!"

The bat who was flying just below seemed to catch sigh of this and looked back at them. "They're all going to get caught!" she shouted. Lance stared unsure of what to do.

"We have to try and get them across!" he shouted. "Come on!" The bat looked back at him before nodding sharply. Lance flew over the fence, dropped the snake on the ground and looked at him for half a second. "Sorry for the flying...." he said. The snake wasn't looking at him but was paying attention to the fence.

"It's going to take too long for you to fly them all over...." the snake said after a second. "Everyone start digging!" he shouted to those on the other side of the fence. Lance blinked in confusion at the word dig for a half second before he turned his head and found that many had started to claw their way into the ground.

Looking again, the Eagle caught sight of the bat already back over and trying to convince what appeared to be a lynx to allow her to fly her over the fence. The lynx was skeptical for a moment before finding the stress of the situation and accepting. Lance blinked again and realized he had to help too. Shaking his head he finally broke into the air and flew over the fence before taking hold of an arctic fox. She seemed reluctant at first, but Lance simply nodded his head and then started upwards once more getting over the fence.

After putting the fox on the other side, Lance noticed that the others had started digging, and the snake was also digging. A few managed to get to the other side, but they had to be extremely careful not to touch the fence. Finding that there was only one left on the other side, Lance's eyes grew as he saw that a scientist had seized the orange haired fox by the foot. Bursting into the air, he dove downwards and took hold of the scientist dragging him and the fox into the air.

Crap... heavy.... Lance winced a fraction knowing that he wouldn't be able to keep his grip on the man for long. "Fox girl!" he shouted. "Climb!" he shouted. The fox was fighting with the man to get free of his grasp but managed to do so and was climbing her way around. Suddenly feeling his neck being seized, Lance flinched a fraction only to find that the fox had managed to get on his back. Breathing outwards, Lance released the human he was carrying and dropped him towards the ground below.

The weight that was relieved allowed Lance to fly higher, and once again he was over the fence. The animals that had been watching this had turned now and started running once more away from the human area and towards the forest that was still a major stretch of land away. Lance flinched a fraction feeling the hands on his shoulders. He had never had someone ride on his back before... nor could he remember when he ever picked anyone up before the snake....

"Ow... chill out," Lance half growled if it could even be considered growling. "You got nails ya know." The fox seemed to recoil a bit but released a part of her tight hold on the bird. Lance sighed outwards thankful and flew a bit easier then. His eyes were on the animals down below, and he noticed that the bat was flying just above the other animals as they ran through the stretch of land.

"This.... this..." the fox was saying. Lance blinked a fraction before turning his head a fraction and looking back even as he flew. "It's kind of... fun..." she finished. Lance laughed a fraction.

"Ya think?" he smirked a bit before continuing to fly. "Looks like we're getting out of here..." he grinned. Suddenly a pain hit the eagle, and his eyes widened large before taking on an almost dead look. The fox shrieked as she caught sight of the flying needle that had just shoved itself through a major part of Lance's wing. Lance found himself suddenly getting very drowsy, and his eyes blanked even more as he started to fall out of the sky.

"Wake up! Wake up!" the fox shouted, yet the eagle was out cold and plummeting towards the ground.
