Introductions

Taiga Akashiya

Once everyone had made it to the border of the forest, I exited the foliage and stood, arms crossed, in front of them. I noticed the desert lynx girl halfway asleep, and realized she had probably been injected with a sedative, like the eagle had.

"I'm Spike," the rattlesnake boy said. His tail rattled and I glanced at him before turning back to the lynx.

Cursing under my breath, I walked over to where she was leaning against a tree. Shaking her was useless. Slapping her was useless. Nothing I was doing was waking her up.

"Uh, a little help here?" I snapped at the others. The fox girl was wiping away at her tears, the eagle was asleep as well, and the others were just standing around being useless.

With a sigh, I stood up and said, "My name is Taiga. Taiga of the Akashiya pack. If any of you so much as make a move towards me, I will rip you to shreds. This virus is spreading and the humans are taking advantage of our confusion. We have to find a cure, unless we all want to die. Now, we need a leader and I sure as hell don't want to be it. Any volunteers?" After taking a breath, I was appalled at how much I had said. I never was a person of many words.

"Um, I would be willing to do that," the fox girl said finally, after no one made a move to speak. "By the way, my name is Kita."

"Good. Now we wake that eagle and lynx up. Or I'm leaving without them," I stated flatly. The rest of the animals began to introduce themselves, then.

"I am Tsuki, but please call me Tsu," the arctic wolf said.

The bat girl was next. "My name is Yume."

I had a feeling that more people would be arriving soon. It was either the smell or the instinct that there were way more test subjects than just us animals here. Kita began working to wake the up the desert lynx girl, and some of the others tried arousing the eagle boy.

I plopped down on the ground and sighed, clutching my head with my hands. Why did this have to happen to me? I absolutely hated being around people- or, animals.

Though I knew more were likely to be on the way, I couldn't help but hope no one more would arrive. The more people we had in our group the less likely we would be able to stay alive.

Damn those humans...

Continue?

Yes, Taiga may seem like a leader, but she just likes to state things straight out and analyze a situation before going on further. I know there are two more people who should arrive in the group, so I wanted to allow them to be able to do so.
