I love theO because theO and Adam are not included in this angry post I left on the Gpotato forums (aka the company that runs TalesRunner):
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The problem with most companies that deal with people over the internet (GPotato, Facebook, etc) is they normally don't feel the need to let their users in on changes. Programmers see a way to streamline something or owners see a way to make more money and they make a change. No warning at all. For the people who use their products, who pay these people's salaries (buying GPs (Gpotato's premium currency), doing surveys, looking at ads) it's a bit of a slap to the face.
Communication, I believe, is the issue here. We can't work without one another and like any harmonious relationship, I think there needs to be a solid line of communication between us and the GP staff. Not just "this is when an update is going to be made" but when decisions that directly effect us, the costumers, are made. When McDonald's switched its frying oil to vegetable oil they told us. So when our french fries tasted differently we had an explanation. Joe, like me, just wants to be in the loop.
So thanks Adam! I've never felt betrayed by theO or by you. You give your costumers a way to get in touch with you and make our suggestions. You're THE example of how community websites should be run.
