How do I feel about Ven right now? It's like... they took Sora and tried to boil down his personality and we got left with these overly-sugary bits that have a bad after taste. Does that make any sense? He's too much, an over exaggerated Sora. The things that make Sora grounded and focused make Ven go off the chart CRAZY. Both Sora and Ven have two very close friends. However, Sora strives to see his friend(s) and he works hard and accomplishes what he can in whatever World he visits. Ven on the other hand always goes right to Terra and Terra becomes a running theme throughout the World. Yes, Sora sometimes went right to Riku and/or Kairi but that was only in the first couple of Worlds in KH1 and when there were hints of them elsewhere. It's getting annoying Ven, and fast.

• Right away we’re greeted with the Castle of Dreams World logo… thingy and then straight away to Cinderella who’s looking out her window towards the castle.
• Here comes Jaq…
• Apparently there’s somebody new in the house!
• Three gue-, you know what. No. We all know it’s Ven.
• Apparently Ven’s in a trap. Allow me to snicker slightly in the background.
• Cinderella’s off to save him. Cinderella too has moments of lovely animation.
• Okay so here’s my confusion. Of the three worlds in the first group (Enchanted Domain, Castle of Dreams, Dwarf Woodland) there’s different times each character visits. Their visits might interlap but not by a lot. Ven visits Dwarf Woodland first and that’s the last World Terra visits but… their paths almost cross. Now in Castle of Dreams it seems like Ven has gotten here before Terra (who got there before Aqua) even though he visited Castle of Dreams BEFORE Dwarf Woodland. AUGH! Square Enix people normally I love you but… this would’ve been such an easy thing to fix. Next time: MAKE A CHART!
• Ven’s upset he got so “SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL!” I smell a Napoleon complex! I actually dislike that term because Napoleon was fairly tall and pretty attractive.
• Cinderella’s all like “I’ve never seen a mouse like this before… freak.”
• God I hate Jaq. I didn't even like him when I was a kid.
• OH GOD THE WHOLE “CALL ME VEN” THING IS SO TOTALLY THE NEW “SORA, DONALD, GOOFY!” Kill me now. I swear to god if Ven so much as MENTIONS Terra in this World the PSP is going out my window.
• So Cinderella has some chores to do so off she goes. Jaq and Ven take some time to talk about Cinderella and what a hard worker she is and how big her dreams are, yada yada.
• Ven’s all like “I know somebody like that.”
• AQUA! CAN WE KNOW AQUA’S DREAM NOW?!
• OH FOR…
• Sorry had to go get my PSP.
• Terra’s dream is to become a Keyblade Master and apparently it’s the only thing he’s ever dreamed about. Really, Terra? Because if you’re having dreams about blond haired boys with stunning blue eyes and a lack of vitamin D you’re in luck.
• And now Ven wants Jaq to help him find Terra.
• Whoops had to go get my PSP again...
• I feel like Ven’s eyes are bluer than Sora/Roxas’. Sora/Roxas’ eyes seem a bit deeper/darker, I’m not sure if this is a graphic thing but… eyes seem different.
• So we’re inside the walls of the mansion now and… I really don’t like this map design. I don’t feel like I’m in the inside of the walls of a house.
• Up in Cinderella’s room Jaq explains that there’s a ball tonight and that Cinderella wants to go. Just as he’s about to spill some more juicy details Cinderella comes in and crashes the party.
• Cinderella brings her dress out but… it’s almost finished. She gets called by the step trio and she’s goes off.
• Jaq then asks Ven to help him finish Cinderella’s dress. Ven agrees and we need to go find stuff and… BEWARE OF LUCIFER!
• After finding all the items Jaq requested we get one more request… a pearl.
• Well… this probably won’t go well.
• Oh look, there’s a pearl! Guarded… by Lucifer. BUT OF COURSE!
• Ven sneaks up and seems able to get the pearl from the sleeping Lucifer but at the last moment he wakes up… or he was pretending to be asleep. Whatever.
• Jaq tries to help out by throwing balls of yarn at Lucifer but he gets knocked off his shelf so Ven runs back to Jaq’s rescue. He gives the pearl to Jaq and… now we get to beat up Lucifer.
• This actually kinda makes me upset. But I suppose Lucifer would eat Ven if given the chance so…
• So the Lucifer fight is pretty easy once you know what to look out for. Other than giving a minor heart attack when he first swats at Ven I got through the fight with minimum damage.
• Jaq thanks Ven but Ven’s all like “Dude, it’s what friends do. You saved me once before, remember?” Any way you slice it Jaq is still annoying.
• Anyhoo Cinderella comes back in her room and starts to mope but perks up again when she sees the finished dress.
• Who knew Ven was such a good sewer? Oh god the jokes I could make right now…
• Jaq asks Ven what his dream is after Cinderella goes to the ball and...
• Again we flash to Terra saying his dream is to become a Keyblade Master. But then Aqua chimes in and Terra says: “I know. You, me, and Ven all share the same dream.”
• That… was Aqua’s dream? WELL GOOD FOR YOU GIRL! You’ve accomplished your dream!
• D-link with Cinderella, new keyblade…
• We’re done!
• One more world for this set!

Ven, Terra, Aqua
