Birth by Sleep - Ventus - Friends Forever

We've finished with Terra and we've finished with Aqua but what about Ven? Surely there's more than just a fight with Vanitas. This the the third time we've come to the Keyblade Graveyard only this time we haven't been tricked into coming. We're going to put an end to our ...darkness twin? WILL WE FINALLY GET TO SEE VANITAS' FACE? WILL THINGS START TO MAKE SENSE?

So Ven surveys the Keyblade Graveyard and he says “friends forever” before taking off.
OH GOD GUUUUYS
So after running through the tornadoes, leveling up some of my last skills we’re ready to face the end of the end.
So Terra’s alone and here comes Aqua. Again they have “What did you do? That’s horrible! But I’m gonna fix stuff. You shouldn’t let Master Xehanort control you like that, blah blah” conversation. I was kinda expecting to skip this part seeing as how Ven isn’t present but… whatever.
Hey Ven, welcome to the party.
Ven does his whole “Gotta not fight Vanitas, something about a ‘x’-blade, Eraqus tried to kill me because of it so it’s pretty scary, whatever it is.” Again Terra and Aqua try to comfort Ven but he’s like “GUYS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO KILL ME!” But Terra doesn’t really listen. Blah blah, put an end to him, blah.
Heeey Xehanort! AND VANITAS! >3<
Again Master Xehanort thinks now is the best time for a history lesson… I’m… so not going to recap this speech for the third time. Nope, not gonna happen. Screw you, and you and you.
Again the trio gets their armor on and off goes the cut scene battle!
Blah blah, they fight. Looks like they’re gonna lose, blah blah. Frozen!Ven makes another comeback, gets dropped, blah. Aqua’s all like “Nuuu!” And hey! Look there’s KINGDOM HEEEEAAAARTS!
And here’s Mickey!
So Braig turns up again to taunt us. But as we are now a popsicle I don’t think there’s much we can do personally. Other than yell “SHUT UP!” and make angry faces.
Pooorn noises.
So Aqua goes to fight Braig and this should be where the story breaks off and we get back in control of Ven.
Braig reveals his dastardly plan to buy time and runs off. Meanwhile here comes VANITAS! From above! He gets Aqua… in the arm? Or maybe in the back and she goes down! Then he puts his keyblade right by her heart. OH NO!
Frozen!Ven is struggling to move but… he’s all frozen-like so not much we can do.
…Until his anger unfreezes him?
Vanitas gets ready to ka-stab Aqua but VEN’S UP!
And we’re fighting? So soon?!
So um. The battle isn’t that hard. He’s got like 3 life bars? So, just like Xehanort, I can’t believe this is the last of Vanitas we’re gonna see. But then again… Vanitas wants us to fight him. So maybe he wants/needs to lose?
After the battle Vanitas is down on his knees, darkness rippling off of him.
And… he’s all snarky and awesome.
“You’ve done It, Ventus.”
OH GOD THE HELMET IS DISINTEGRATING!
He’s got… yellow eyes and black hair?
“Now that my body is about to perish you and I will have to join together!”
SORA?! HE HAS FUCKING SORA’S FACE AND HAIR?! OH GOD!
Now… I mean I should have seen this coming. Ven looks like Roxas and has his voice and Vanitas had Sora’s voice but… I just so badly wanted to believe he was a major hottie under that helmet and not… Sora.
“The ‘x’-blade will be forged!”
Like… darkness starts to circle the both of them, coming from Vanitas and Unversed pop out of it. And… a couple of Floods hug Ven? Well… they’re holding him down but it looks like a very large cuddle pile.
“The Unversed… come from you?” Well we knew that but Ven and Aqua didn’t. Thank for some useful info Terra!
“It happened when you and I were split into two. The negativity took shape as these monsters. They are what I feel – a horde of fledgling emotions under my control.”
There’s a dark portal and various Unversed are seeping out of it… INCLUDING MECHA!UNVERSED!
“I released them in all the Worlds I could, hoping to lure you away from home and isolate you from your Master.”
Oh there’s a knocked out Aqua, hi!
“We needed to make you stronger. The Unversed were the perfect opponents. And better yet, no matter how many times you defeat them… their negativity flows right back into me.”
OH GOD DOES THIS MEAN WHAT I THINK IT MEANS?!
Looks like “no”, whew thank god. I thought we were going to have to refight EVERY SINGLE UNVERSED we’ve killed.
“You never stood a chance against us, Ventus.” Lols, “us”. Like they’re his best friends. Gosh can you imagine? He’d keep them in his room and tell them all of his secrets and Master Xehanort would be like “GET THOSE MONSTERS OUT FROM UNDER YOUR BED! I can sense them you know!”
Vanitas walks into Ven and… poof a bright light!
And a giant ball of wind!
Which blows Aqua away, lols.
The ground starts to crack and… Ven screams as a bright red/orange light shoots up.
Oh god what happens now?
OH NO! WE’RE AT A CALLING STATION!
Ven lands down and… here comes Vanitas with the ‘x’-blade.
The pattern on the Calling Station has a sleeping Ven and a sleeping Vanitas and random symbols for the Unversed and stuff.
Apparently they haven’t fully joined yet and this is after Aqua’s fight with Not!Ventus. Seeing as how the ‘x’-blade is damaged and stuff.
So once again Vanitas wants Ven to join him to complete the ‘x’-blade. DUDE WE JUST WENT OVER THIS!
Ven’s says: “I’ve got a better idea. How ‘bout I destroy you both?”
OH GOD VANITA’S EVIL LAUGH JUST WON ME OVER AGAIN! It is okay you have Sora’s face… As long as you always laugh like that.
“The ‘x’-blade is made of your heart, too, idiot.” Bless. “If you destroy it, your heart will vanish forever.”
“Whatever it takes. Anything to save Terra and Aqua.”
“Hmph, it’s always about your friends, isn’t it?”
“At least I have some! I’ve become a part of their heart, just as they’ve become part of mine. My friends are my power… and I’m theirs!” God Terra and Ven should write a motivational book together. THE CHEESE IS SO GREAT!
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
So again this battle isn’t incredibly hard. The only frustrating bit is at the end where you go into this like… flying mode because Vanitas smashed the Calling Station. And you have to build up your command gauge and just blaugh. It’s like you’ve gone into a D-link with Vanitas… actually that’s exactly what it looks like.
ANYHOO! We defeat Vanitas (ON MY FIRST TRY, WTF?) and we get a cut scene, of course we do!
Ven lays a hit on Vanitas and he lets go of the ‘x’-blade and it starts to float away from him. Awww he looks so sad. :C Finally he gives up and floats down and the ‘x’-blade starts to glow. Then Ven’s keyblade glows… and shatters?
Vanitas falls down and down and down until he hits the ruined Station of Calling (which is pure black now) and he hits it and dissolves into sparkles. The sparkles radiates through the Station of Calling and we get a new pattern?
I can’t see it but whatever it is it makes Ven happy, he smiles and poofs off.
Oh, I’s just Ven by himself.
His heart (and some sparkles) go flying up and up and up!
We get a report!
And we’re on the World Map, floating in our armor with an armored Aqua, who’s holding our hand.
Mickey floats over and grabs Aqua’s hand. He uses his Star Shard to get us the hell outta there.
Oh hi Ven! Ven’s falling (like the openings for KH1 and KH2) and down we go through the bubbles!
We fall and fall and fall some more until… Ven opens his eyes. He’s been here before?
“So warm… I remember now. This if your heart.” WHO’S HEART?!
OH FOR FUCK’S SAKE!
The credits roll.
We see: The three faires, Lucifer and Jaq, the seven dwarves, Dilan and Aeleus, Even and Ienzo, Merlin and Scrooge, Lea and Isa, Captain Justice and Queen Minnie, Hercules and Phil, 626, Peter Pan and Tink, Goofy and Donald, Eraqus, and our triumphant heroes strike a pose!
So after 1,796 enemies defeated, almost 17 hours and over 10,000 words I’ve completed Ventus’ story.
But wait folks: THIS PARTY ISN’T OVER YET!
