Penny Reminds Us To Beware the Quiet Ones

Spoiler warning is in effect as I'm covering the events of Starfall Street.

When we first meet Penny, she's being harassed by Team Star grunts, a quick message from Cassiopeia recruits the player character to overthrow Team Star, throughout the story Penny rewards players for each take down of the leaders of Starfall Street, eventually you'll put two and two together and realise that Penny is the actual leader, her story is a tragic reality to anyone who has ever dealt with bullying, as an attempt to stand up for themselves as a team it cost them their leader as the school botched the whole incident.
Penny has a mean streak built on years of being cynical and it rubs off on the team, she even stole funds from the Pokemon League to pay you the player character.
But she's also an otaku shut in with an awesome Eevee backpack even quoting the fact that she binge watches anime regularly.
She also has the best battle music.
To end with, a wild theory, Penny looks like she could easily be mistaken for the daughter of Jesse and James

Nemona Has An Addiction

Very late posting due to the site being down.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced some unique friends, Arven I may cover, Penny I definitely will cover, but today we start with Nemona and she has an addiction.
I've seen a few comparisons between her behaviour and people with autism and they're not wrong, addiction to hobbies is definitely an autistic trait, the fact that she latches onto you with that hobby and gets reminded frequently of her lack of restraint means she doesn't understand social cues, her reaction to her own behaviour can back that up as well, at least she listens unlike Hau who battles you suddenly when you aren't ready or Hop who will not shut up.
The fact that you can choose to battle NPCs rids the game of a mechanic that when you think about, is a little suspect.
There are a couple of other things to note about Nemona as well and it's usually where the memes start coming in.
The following is a real quote
"You'll have all the battles you'll ever need with me"
Or
"It's so wild that we ended up randomly visiting the same gym at the same time....again. What a weird coincidence"
Major red flags going up right now, I've seen enough Yanderes to know where this is going, I wouldn't put it past her to kidnap us.
If you think it's just her desperate for friends because her position, wealth and rank has alienated her from the rest of the school, that's pretty accurate actually; I'm also willing that the glove on her throwing arm is medical, I wear gloves to stop repetitive strain injury and carpal tunnel syndrome but that's because I use a computer for work and play games as a hobby, Nemona has thrown so many Pokeballs that she has to wear that glove to prevent permanent injury.
The writing more than makes up for the glitches.

Rosa Should Be Lead Anime Character

The downside of always have Ash as lead is that no other player characters get a fair shot, this is why Pokemon Masters exists.

Rosa is the female player character in Black and White 2, probably one of if not the best female design of the Pokemon games, the Pokestar studios made her an actress in the canon playing everything from a princess to a super hero, so for her to be picked as the lead for masters, the creators wasted no time in giving her an endearing personality, instantly cheerful, full of energy and her now memorable thinking pose; she even made the cover of the game, this is alongside some high level alumni including Steven Stone, Diantha, Lance, Cynthia, Red and Brock, five of which are champions while Brock has the legacy of being the first ever Gym Leader and because different outfits are a thing, have her Christmas dress.

Rui is Sexy

This will be an interesting topic.

Rui is the eldest of the Kisugi sisters, a trio of thieves making up Cat's Eye targeting artworks belonging to their missing father. While Hitomi is the actual lead, the narrative being her relationship with Toshi the Detective who is tasked with catching Cat's Eye, while Ai is the youngest and techy but is still in school.
Rui's role is obtaining the information and planning the heists making her the leader.
They use a hidden in plain sight disguise as baristas in a coffee shop.
Now onto the sexy part of Rui's description.
Sexy is not a word I would use to describe any character in anime, it's not really as glamourous as other pop culture media, yes, you can look sexy and act sexy but quite often it doesn't complete the full package of the character, a simple ara ara and an hourglass figure isn't enough and there's also the subjective element to it as well.
Rui looks sexy, acts sexy and feels sexy, even the picture gives off alluring bedroom eyes. But the most important element for a sexy character, they are near impossible to criticise, less than five minutes of Rui and you are already engrossed in what she's doing.
So who else would I describe as sexy?
You might be surprised but there is one anime with tons of sexy characters, that'll be a top ten and tomorrow's post.

Samantha Was a Missed Opportunity

Leave it to toy anime to not take full advantage of it's characters.

Kikuhime better known to us English as Samantha is the boss of the starter villain team the Screws.
While mostly seen as school yard bullies they sort of become chaotic neutrals as the series progressed and eventually get shots at the world championship filling in for the frequently absent Space Medafighter X.
Samantha along with Peppercat had an interesting back story, that while being a bit of an ego maniac, has a more feminine graceful side that she's embarrassed to show, her set up with her friends reminds me very much of Yatterman's Doronjo and her crew, I would've loved to have seen her character evolve more and she should've been the third fighter full time in Team Japan.
Character writing in Medabots was always it's strongest point, the Rubber Robo Gang each having their own pride that they show if the situation calls for it.
Sadly for Samantha she never got a chance to flourish, the abysmal season 3 proving to be Medabots downfall.
