what i think of...

I got this from Luna chan's world (eversleep?) and thought that I would do it for all 2 of my viewers. basically i'm going to express my views on different genres of manga/anime.

Shoujo- basically, I'm a shoujo manga addict. It's the main genre that I read. I do think that some shoujo mangas are overrated (about 80%), but sometimes i just read them for the heck of it. My favorites are Koukou Debut (kazune kawahara), Hana Kimi (hisaya nakajo), Kimi ni Todoke (karuho shiina), ....those are my favorites. yeah, some of them are stupid (33%), but I love them anyways.

Shounen- I've only read a few, but I definitely think that the art is often more detailed and realistic than shoujo. Death Note is the only one I've gotten to the end of...but that's because all of the other popular ones are like, 900 chapters long and will take an entire lifetime to even get up to date on (eg, Hajime no Ippo). In story, they're better than shoujo, but readability is lower because they're so intense if they're not perverted and full of nosebleeds and busty girls.

Gender Bender- Honestly, the only gender bender i've seen is like, Host Club and Hana Kimi, so my views are very similar to the shoujo genre.

Ecchi/Hentai- I think this is so wierd. Like, why would you fantasize over a person that doesn't even freaking exist. Like, "She's so hott!!!!"...she's a cartoon. And the whole hentai thing, I think it's gross. I feel bad for the person who has to draw it.

Yaoi/Shounen Ai- I think this is funny. Gay guy manga? Who was the crackhead who invented this? I think the hardcore stuff is gross...I don't even read it and it makes me gag. But I mean, to each his (or her) own...?

Yuri/Shoujo Ai- This isn't as gross to me as Yaoi, but it's still really wierd. Like, why would you rather stare at lesbians than bishies? It doesn't make sense....

Seinen- It's like, a mix of ecchi/hentai/shounen. Or it's overly psychological. I hate it. Go die, Seinen manga.

Josei- The only aversion I have to this is how overly depressing it is. If you've read all of Honey and Clover (which I thought was a shoujo manga, so I read it. Turns out, it's not), you'll know that Nobody ends up with the person that they're supposed to. It's so freaking depressing. I guess it's shoujo for overly happy people who need to mellow down a bit?
