"Hello?" said my brother through the phone.
"Onii-chan, hey, how are you?" I reply as happy as possible.
" Ahhh, Draxi, I'm glad I have a chance to talk to you." he replies concerned but happy.
" You caught my little lie?" I say sadly.
" I was hopiing I didn't.." he says half joking, half serious.
I giggle, it's nice talking to bro. " So, what happened?" he asked.
I sighed and explained what happened with Lexi today. "She's dead."
There was a moment of silince before he said, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah," I answer sadly, "I sure."
I considered the possibility of my brother cryhing but knew that when he did he would not be talking to me. A prince never cries in front of anyone. That's why I couldn't either. Lexi didn't care about crying, she believed that if you felt something, show it. Ugh!! Lexi. Why are you back in my head?
" Call L," my brother said suddenly, " I wish Lexi could come here but... that wouldn't work. Call L and have him find a way to get Lexi back home without anyone finding out. IO wish I could help you more but...I let a shinigami get past me and kill my little sister. I have to make sure that doesn't happen again. You seem to be keeping a good front for now. Styay like that until I talk to you again ok?"
Ahhh, BB always was the one to come up e=with plans, blame himself, then hang up the phone and cry. To be rushing me this much, he must be really upset. OH well. " Ok, I will stay well and happy in the eyes of everyone else, if I don't I would fail as a protector, again. Don't worry, just like you, I do not fail twice."
"Meli," BB began, calling me by my real name, "you didn't-"
" I did," I cut him off, " As a protector I should have saved her, protected her and I didn't. I understand my duty... I'll talk to you later." I hung up before he could say anything and started dialing L's number.

After the first couple rings L picked up, " Hello, Lexi, Draxi. How can I help you?"
I smiled, "It's Draxi. Lexi's dead and I was wondering if there is anyway to get her body to my home without the other countries and spy organizations noticing."
"Lexi's dead?" he asked, almost shocked.
" Yes, so about my question..."
" I don't know, I will try and get back to you on that, but before that... what happened?"
I retold what happened to L. " Ok, I will search for a way to transport Lexi's body. Stay well and I will call you. Hood bye Draxi, I'm so sorry."
" Bye L. There's nothing to be sorry about. Everyone dies one time or another. This time it was my sister...next time it could be me or you. Don't worry." I hung up and left Lexi's body in her room.

Good Night Lexi. Sweet dreams.

The following week without Lexi was horrible. I got up every morning feeling more and more dead. It was like a half of me had got up that day and walked away. If it weren't for the promises I made to BB and L, I would have crippled and died, if it weren't for the students worrying around me, I WOULDN'T GO TO CLASS AND IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE BOYS FORCING ME TO EAT I WOULD HAVE STARVED!!! I felt dead inside but on the outside I was calm, collected and soothing. If only my powers worked on me...
As each day went by I felt myself add on a year's worth of stress. It has been 1 week and 5 days when I got a call from L. Me and the boys had been sitting my room working on this science project about chemical reactions. Mello and I were partners because wee were in the same period while Near and Mat were patners, having science a period before us. If Lexi were aliive she would have been working with them. RING!RING!RING!!!
" I got it," I say, getting up from the floor next to Mello and picking up the phone on the desk.
" Hello," I say, feeling the guys eyes on me.
" Draxi, are you doing well?" L says in a casual tone.
"L" I sigh, I look behind me, the boys were all curious. "Um, I have Mello, Matt, and Near in the room. I'm going to put you on speaker phone, is that okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, go ahead." he says.
I put the phone on the desk, put speaker phone and went back to sit next to Mello. " Go ahead." I call towards the phone.
"So, after a long search I have found a way to get you guys to Draca. You and Lexi."
"Is that so?" I ask, only a little flutter of hope in my heart.
"Yeah," L says, he explains how he got a private airplane that would have enough fuel to take them to the island if we start from Kenya. " Are you up for it?"he asked.
"Yeah," I say unenthusiatically.
There was a long pause before he said uncertainly, "Okay then, prepare for flying."
