I walk into the cafeteria my spirits low and life not looking so great. It was rather late for breakfast so no one was actually eating just talking and hanging out. I find an empty table and out my head down on it. Maybe I can die here…
Suddenly my hair was pulled back until my head was straight. “What the hell?!?” I say to a brunette with an ugly pig’s nose on her face. Samantha she had done it.
“Is the princess all alone now?” she says in a high-pitched squeaky voice.
“Well,” I say exhausted just from hearing her say one sentence, “if I were a princess I would question exactly why I was here (which I do) and why I tolerated annoying girls named Samantha.”
Everyone in her little posse was stunned including Suzu and Isabel. It was several long seconds, almost a minute before Suzu said in her girly, singsong voice, “Well, you obviously aren’t a normal girl because normal can keep their boyfriends from being stolen so close to Valentine’s Day.” She smirked and her groupies started to look smug before I started laughing. They looked at me so strangely that I started laughing and even though I was calming own I was still laughing on the inside.
“Has he not told you yet? He decided that he was going to go with me instead!” I said simply delighted as they got blank looks on their faces.
“Oh,” I say starting to laugh out loud again, “He really hasn’t told you? Sorry…this,” I gasp, “must be,” I gasp, “soooooo hard!” I say before going into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.
Before she can even say anything Near walks into the cafeteria and walks over to us, “What’s so funny?” he asks watching me.
“Oh,” Suzu saying flirting with him, “honey! She thinks that you’re her date for the festival! Isn’t that funny?!?”
She waits for Near to say yes but instead he looks at her weirdly and says, “First, NEVER call me honey and second, she right. I have been trying to find you but you seem to be pretty good with disappearing tricks.”
There’s a moment of shocked silence before Suzu half shrieks, “WHAT?!?”
Near sighs then repeats slowly as if she were a little kid, “I…am…not…your…date…to…the…festival…because…I…am…going…with….Draxi…sorry.”
Suzu stares at Near for a second then she turns to me and brings her hand done trying to slap me the only problem to that plan of hers is that one Near moved right in front of me and Linda, appearing out of nowhere, grabbed her wrist, “Don’t even think about it.” She said in a low threatening voice.
Suzu looked at the three of us then glared at me and said in a harsh and quiet voice, “You’re one lucky bitch…but luck always runs out eventually. Watch your back, because no matter how many people watch out for you…you can still get hurt.” She turned around and walked out of the cafeteria, the rest of the group soon following. The last to go were Samantha and Isabel whispering nervously to each other.
“Are you okay?” Linda asked as I let my head sink back to the table.
“Yeah,” I said slowly, “just wishing that her last threat hadn’t hit home.” I sighed softly to myself.
