"Its alright" I forced out. what now do I walk away?
"Whats your name?" she asked. I was caught a little off guard.At least offer your name first girl! Wait Liese, be nice...bear with it.
"...Liese... do you know where the office is?" I asked. Who knows, might as well make use of her.
"It's this way. Here, I'll show you." We went down a hallway. "Are you a new student?" I nodded. "Seems like new people were popping up all over the place." That caught my attention. Guess the game is good here on the battlefield.
We entered the office. "If your turning in your paperwork, you're going to need to go see Mrs. Haley at that desk." She nodded again and walked off... without offering her name.
I approached the desk with the name tag HALEY on it. There was a woman typing furiously on the keys. She, who I assumed was Mrs. Haley looked up and turned glared at me.
"yes?" She asked impatiently. Man that lady had a killer aura, it even intimidated me!
"Um... Im Lieselotti Glace, Im a new student here" I stated, Mrs. Haley started looking around "Arg! Where is he?! I bet he didn't even look at his email..." She focused back on me "Well here is everything you need." She handed me some books and notepads. "There should be an pamphlet on the school's rules and your schedual in the book, your first class is down the hall, fifth door on your left. If you have any questions ask your irresponsible teacher." She went back to her typing. Man would'nt want to be related to her...
I followed direcion and arrived at a room filled with kids at desks. They were all laughing and didn't even notice my arrival. I spotted an empty desk in the corner and sat down. I scanned the room. Now which one was the teacher?
Someone opened the door and walked into the classroom "Haha! Akiba-Sensei is the tardy one now!" one of the students called out.The man smiled
"Yeah yeah! DETENTION! Hahaha!" another boy laughed. Akiba sensei?- scanned the room untill his gaze fell upon me.
He smiled. "I'm glad you found your way here alright.I'm Kyo Akiba. Please feel free to ask me anything if you have any questions," He addressed the class "Please be nice to our new student and make her feel welcome."
I almost burst out laughing. How cliched, like people were going to go out of their way just to "make me feel welcome".My thought was proven wrong and I was surprised to find a bunch of people looking my way. WOW I should get use to humans, they are unpredictable. Its natural to just focus on your own stuff...nevermind humans are just wierd.
"whats your name?" someone asked without thinking I flipped my hair gave my most arrogant smile and announced "Lieselotti Glace, whats it to you?"
the boy looked offended and quickly replied.
"Nothing, don't get full of yourself, your nothing special." a couple girls were laughing in the background. I just assumed they were mocking me. I frowned.
Hmm does arrogance not work here? Is it offensive here? Back home it was something good to have. It meant you were either the highest of the high or the lowest of the low.
I might have to rethink my approach here.
The bell rang and a lot more students filed in. Perhaps I can make a better impression.
