FullMetal Alchemist: Brotherhood retells the story of the original FMA series, staying closer to the original manga storyline this time around. Despite this, it still follows the same basic plot: Edward and Alphonse Elric try to revive their dead mother through alchemy, and pay dearly for it- Edward loses his right arm and left leg, and Alphonse loses his entire body. Edward manages to attach Alphonse's soul to a suit of armor, and then has his limbs replaced with automail limbs. They then set out on a journey for the fabled Philosopher's Stone to return their bodies back to their original state...but they aren't the only ones searching for it....
Episode 8: Research Laboratory 5: Ed and Al investigate the abandoned Research Laboratory 5 after discovering the truth behind the Philosopher's Stone's creation in order to find a way around it. However, as usual, all is not as it seems, as the lab isn't as 'abandoned' as they thought...

Today's event, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren Hen, will proceed as planned. I, Ace, founder of TheO's very own Team Dai-Gurren and Fantard Extraordinaire, will see to it. If anyone gets this message in time, The chat will open at 7:30 Pacific, 10:30 Eastern. I'll wait a while after the original scheduled time to see if anyone decides to show. Those of you who haven't downloaded yet, a streaming link will be provided. Be advised that the stream is split into two parts, so we may do an intermission if it is needed.
Those who don't know, Gurren Hen is basically a recap of most of the first season of Gurren Lagann, except near the end where it one-ups itself and becomes more awesome than the show in a number of ways. There is recycled footage, but the end makes it worth it.
