What's Movie Sign?
Every week, we nestle down in Chat and watch an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K for short) while spamming up the Chat box. We use episodes available on You Tube so that we can all watch simultaneously.
What's MST3K?
It's a comedy show about a man and his robots, stranded in space and forced to watch some of the worst movies ever made as part of a mad scientist's bid for world domination. To keep their (and our) sanity, Joel Robinson or Mike Nelson, along with 'bots Tom Servo and Crow, talk back to the films and riff on them.
Next Episode
We wrap up our celebration of the holidays with Episode 321 - Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. In an attempt to bring some fun into the lives of their children, a group of Martians kidnap Santa; other Martians aren't so keen on the idea, and set out to put an end to the Jolly Old Elf.

What's the Anime Club?
The Anime Club is a weekly room in theOtaku's community chat where we meet to have fun laughing, crying, heckling, and spazzing together while watching a few episodes of anime. The anime will most likely be available on streaming sites since we're mainly going to stick to unlicensed shows. I hope the Anime Club will be a good opportunity for people to find new series and genres that they enjoy and for series to gather support for if/when they're licensed.
What are you watching?
We're trying a new format where we'll watch episodes from two different shows each night. I hope people will stick around for both but, if one of the series just isn't your thing, feel free to only drop in for the other.
The first show is Library War, a 12 episode action/comedy series. It seems similar to Full Metal Panic! but with less mecha and more books. Click here to watch its opening.
The second show is Spice and Wolf, a 13 episode fantasy/drama series. It's somewhat slow-paced and doesn't have much action, instead focusing on the characters' interweaving relationships and ways of getting by in life. Click here to watch its opening.
When are the next episodes?
We'll be watching Library War ep11-12 + special / Spice and Wolf ep12-13 on Saturday, December 27, at 10:00 PM Eastern Time (7:00 PM Pacific). (The Library War DVD special was recently released and may not be on streaming sites yet. I recommend downloading it or looking for a streaming site with it before the chat starts.) The chat room will open a half hour early, around 9:30 PM Eastern, and the episodes will last about two hours altogether. We hope to see you there!

What anime is next?
The Anime Club after this next one happens to be on my birthday, so I may not even be around for the start of the next series... Anyway, leave a comment with what you'd like to see next and also let me know whether you'd like to keep the two shows per week format. Below are the current suggestions:

Since it's almost Christmas, here's a clip from a TV gag show named, "Bubble Gang". It features a lip-synched "Give Love on Christmas Day". The performers are Moymoy Palaboy, a lip-synch duo originally from YouTube that became very famous in the Philippines and are now TV regulars & recording artists.
