It's the last Saturday in March, which means it's time again for the annual Earth Hour. During the hour from 8:30-9:30 PM (in whatever your time zone is), remember to turn off all non-essential lights.
It would also be appreciated if you could observe a minute of silence when the hour begins, in recognition for our friends in Japan, who are still participating despite their many troubles lately.
Saw this commercial on CNN a few days ago in the little Japanese place below my work place. Caught my ear because they were speaking Mandarin (which I generally don't understand, but it was subtitled). Then I just watched it and it blew my mind that such a commercial existed.
Going by this YouTube link, this commercial's banned on quite a few networks. 'Tis about the US national debt:
Now, being that I'm on the outside looking in, I first went "uwah, ballsy..." and then laughed a little because it wasn't me. But then I stopped from laughing too much because my country would be in the crapper too if it all comes to this.
Obviously this is me daring to open up a can. I'm willing to accept that because I'm curious if any of you guys had seen this yet.
