What is Movie Sign?
Every Sunday night, we nestle down in Chat and watch an episode of the cult TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K for short) while spamming up the Chat box. Don't worry - we use episodes available on streaming sites so that we can all watch simultaneously.
What's MST3K?
A comedy show that ran from 1988-1999, it's like watching a movie with running commentary. Joel Robinson or Mike Nelson, along with 'bots Tom Servo and Crow, are forced to watch terrible films as part of a mad scientist's bid for world domination. To keep their (and our) sanity, they talk back to the movies and riff on them. A more detailed explanation can be found up at the SoL.

Scientist Jean Karl Michael invents a death ray (I knew there'd be one!) which he insists it's for peaceful purposes. Right. During a demonstration, some bad guys raid the place, steal the death ray, and of course, the scientist. Enter super secret agent Bart Fargo, who does all the things we have expected of secret agents. Can he save the day against the death ray?
Host Segment Highlights
Crow's new contacts aren't exactly working out for him, and neither are Servo's shoe endorsements (notably his lack of feet). Tom then makes his own death ray - you know, for peaceful purposes - before the 'bots do their own "This Is Your Life!" for Mike. And are you a super secret spy? Then has Crow got the sunglasses for you!

The movie considered "the worst" (until they hit Manos), and with good reason. Besides Fu Manchu, the titular character, being a Chinese man played by a white guy, we've got some semblance of a plot that involves Fu Manchu figuring out how to turn all the Earth's water into ice before planning on going ahead and destroying it. He's opposed by a British fellow and his sidekick, though they fail to stop him from taking over the Istanbul governor's castle...
