What is Movie Sign?
Every Sunday night, we nestle down in Chat and watch an episode of the cult TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000 (MST3K for short) while spamming up the Chat box. Don't worry - we use episodes available on streaming sites so that we can all watch simultaneously.
What's MST3K?
A comedy show that ran from 1988-1999, it's like watching a movie with running commentary. Joel Robinson or Mike Nelson, along with 'bots Tom Servo and Crow, are forced to watch terrible films as part of a mad scientist's bid for world domination. To keep their (and our) sanity, they talk back to the movies and riff on them. A more detailed explanation can be found up at the SoL.
Next Episode
We're back to giant lizards with King Dinosaur. Two couples explore a newly discovered planet, which looks exactly like Earth. They find an island of giant reptiles wherein the aforementioned King Dinosaur attacks them, causing the four to seek refuge in a cave. Look forward to lots of walking scenes and an atomic bomb.
Host Segment Highlights
Joel attempts to broaden the artistic horizons of the 'bots with beat poetry, but Crow goes a bit too deep when he searches his soul on his qualifications to pass judgment. Things turn a bit weird with the infamous song/sketch about Joey the Lemur, but it's not as weird as when the group does a bit on "The Emotional Scientist". In the end, Tom and Crow seem to have grown wise to Joel's ways, which throws the inventor off a bit more than what would've thought.

Higashi no Eden chat?
Nehsz gave me the idea of making a chat for this series. Every week we will watch the latest episode of Higashi no Eden (I will explain more about it in the next paragraph). If you need a new anime series to watch, then join us on Sunday night.
What is Higashi no Eden?
Higashi no Eden, also known as Eden of the East, is the newest Production IG series. It's directed by Kamiyama Kenji (Ghost in the Shell: SAC) and the character design is by Umino Chika (Honey and Clover). The story (I'm trying not to spoil most of the first episode) is basically about a young man who is challenging the nature of his country, and a young woman who watches over him in a period of eleven days. The whole series is 11 episodes. I thought it would be neat to watch an episode a week. It's a good series, and anyone who comes will most likely enjoy it.
