What is the Watercooler?

It's a haven in the middle of a harsh, 9-to-5 world. A place where you can gather with your fellow human beings and bond over a paper cup full of cool refreshment.

Indie Wrestler Dude vs. Badass 9-Year-Old Girl

Here's one of the trending videos in the Net this week. Over in Japan, where many things are possible, we have independent wrestler Kenny Omega facing 9-year-old Haruka in one of the more interesting wrestling matches in recent memory.

You'll have to see it to believe it.

Watch out for the move at 3:40. You won't believe that it was even executed.

No Movie Sign this week

Yeap, I'm sure you're all heartbroken. But due to various circumstances, I've decided to cancel Sunday's standard Movie Sign meeting and push it to next week.

For those keep score at home, August marks three years of Movie Sign. Here's the schedule for next month:

8/7 - Episode 212 - Godzilla vs. Megalon
8/14 - MST3K The Movie: This Island Earth
8/21 - Episode 802 - The Leech Woman
8/28 - Episode 507 - I Accuse My Parents (w/short "The Truck Farmer")

Futurama Who

Gotta love the fact that Matt Groening is a Doctor Who fan. He snuck a reference in the latest Futurama episode.

This Is So Meta . . .

Y'know who's an amazing geek of an actress? Molly Quinn, the classy young lady who plays Alexis Castle on the TV show Castle. Y'know why she's amazing?

She cosplays. Last year she came out to the Castle panel at San Diego Comic-Con dressed as Lt. Uhura and looked fantastic.

This year, she went a little more meta . . . for those of you not quite in the know, the titular Rick Castle (Alexis' father) is played by Mr. Nathan Fillion. As such, this is how Molly dressed for Comic-Con:

(Hey look, it's Captain Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly!)

I got to come home from work to see this waiting for me. It was fantastic. Also, her intro to this year's Castle panel at SDCC (at the 3:15 mark) in the video below was straight up phenomenal:

Other bits and stuff here:

Seriously. As if I couldn't love this show and cast any more . . .

EDIT: Oh, y'know who else she cosplayed at SDCC this year?

(Hey look, it's Shana from Shakugan no Shana!)

That's awesome.
