What is it?
Remember the good old days of cartoons? The kind you used to wake up early for on Saturday mornings with the biggest bowl of cereal your parents would let you have and your favorite action figure? Well, the Super Nostalgia Power Hour was created to celebrate those heydays of animation, because they were awesome, and dammit, we want them back.
When is it?
Every Friday starting at 9:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
THIS WEEK
Pokémon Season 1: The Road to Indigo
Ash Ketchum is a 10-year-old boy from Pallet Town whose only dream is to become a Pokémon Master. Follow along, as he, Pikachu, Brock and Misty travel through Kanto on their quest to learn about the mysterious world of Pokémon and try to catch ‘em all.
In Episode 17, Island of the Giant Pokémon, Ash, Misty, Brock, Team Rocket and all their Pokémon have been separated thanks to a group of angry Gyarados. As the Pokémon journey across a deserted island to find their trainers, they discover they’re not quite as alone as they thought. In fact, they’re in for some really big trouble.
Then, in Episode 23, The Tower of Terror, Ash and Co. go in search of a Ghost Pokémon to try and defeat Sabrina’s powerful Kadabra. But as a result of a terrible accident, Ash ends up a ghost himself! Will he be able to get back into his body and continue his Pokémon journey, or is it goodbye for good?
Also, sing along with Yakko, Wakko, Dot and Dr. Scratchensnif as they explain just how crazy the Warner Bros. (and the Warner Sister) are in The Monkey Song.
You can find Island of the Giant Pokemon here and The Tower of Terror here.
The Monkey Song can be found right here.
