Hi, this is divisionten (division-ten, actually, because apparently theOtaku hates hyphens), and I am one of TimeChaser's acquaintances from Anime Pulse. I thought I ought to introduce myself a little instead of just randomly and suddenly posting some things here, which I will probably be wont to do.
I'm six years TC's junior (work out the math) female (despite the Laws of the Web), blind (mostly), albino (really), and a photographer (ironically).
And... I like... using ellipses (and parenthesis)... for emphasis.
My day job has something to actually do with anime, although I'd rather not go into the details at the moment, and I work at a camp for the blind during the summer. Although, if things go the way they are now, I will be moving to Japan in May. I will be leaving for a two-month excursion to Vietnam in December for photography, and will be there through Vietnamese New Year, returning sometime Feb of '09.
I speak a little Hebrew, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and Spanish, and enough Japanese to be able to read newspapers and live there. I'm currently tutoring several Korean and one Taiwanese woman in English. I'm also applying to teach SAT I and II at Kaplan.
I'll be happy to post whenever a bit of Japanese culture news comes along, if Dannychoo doesn't get to it first.
Ironically, in addition to liking anime and photography, I also do sketches and sew cosplay (and have recently taken up both crochet and quilting to make some stuffed Daleks and Doctor scarves for Christmas gifts, but you did not hear it from me)
If there's anything you need, drop me a line. I'm always happy to help, if/when I have free time.
