Sing Off

Last night Candlelight was awesome! It really, really was!

Soooo,

I was working the outside camp, like I always do. And we were joking around, talking about boys, spinning in circles, singing songs and over all having fun!

I was being British for the night, and I was hanging out in an American camp, you know, making friends with everyone. Let me tell you about my favorite part!

~A Brief History First~

We were portraying the year 1859. Around this area something called The Pig War was going on. The pig war was when an American shot and killed a British pig. America and Britain were already arguing about who owned Washington, and such as that. This was the straw that broke the camels back. And a war almost started.

Five warships were sent out from one side, (I remember not which) and marines, soldiers, and all kinds of troops from the other. All this over a pig.

Anyway, on Sep. 30, 1859, the newspaper Puget Sound Herald had a song on the front page by a Mr. Sitkum Siwash.

A New Song, To an Old Tune

(To the tune of Yankee Doodle)

There is an Island down the sound
By water all surrounded,
Where sometime since the Britishers
A colony had founded

Get out the way, you Britishers
Keep out the way, I tell you
Vancouver's Island you may have
But we'll hang on to Bellevue!

Etc.

Like I said before, I was being British. And the Americans started singing this song! I was outraged! I stormed around, ranted about the rude Americans. Thankfully, the retired HBC workers (also British), who were in a tent near by the Americans started singing God Save The Queen

The Song

(to the same tune as My Country Tis of Thee (God Save was created first by the way!))

God save our gracious Queen,
Long live our noble Queen,
God save the Queen:
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen.

O Lord, our God, arise,
Scatter her enemies,
And make them fall.
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix,
God save us all.

Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign:
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause
To sing with heart and voice
God save the Queen

We had a sing off. It was amazing!

Candlenight

I reenact at a history museum. And tonight we had the first night for our biggest event of the year. Candlelight.
It's the one weekend we get to be 1st person! Most other times we're 3rd. It was a tom of fun!

Like always Josh was the life of the outside camp. He's such a great guy! Really funny, very sweet, and very interesting.

Anyway, Josh told stories and sang songs and things. I really wish I'd gotten to know him better while we lived here. I really, really do! ...But alas, I didn't. I'm really kicking myself for not getting to know him too!

...............Oh well. Can't undo what has been done.

It wasn't cold tonight, which is really weird. It's always cold in Washington at night! Always! Looks like those tights, shorts, extra petticoat, and wool stockings under my skirt were useless! (my legs always get colder then my arms, haha. And my upper warm wear was removable)

Right now I'm half dressed in period clothes haha. I have a petticoat, my head scarf thingy, beads and over the shoulder shirt on.... It probably looks really weird....

You know, I actually 1850s styles of clothing better then modern ones. I don't know why, but I do. Weird, huh?

If life sucks d*ck, you're gonna get one h*ll of a bl*wjob

That is a quote from my friend Asia. I died laughing when she typed it out. Then I possessed Anthony.
.........I have weird conversations with my friends online ^^;;...........

ANYWAY! GUESS WHAT! Today I was in a fender bender! The other driver hit us repeatedly....And, because I was leaning forward in my seat, I bumped my head on the seat in front of me. Hard. It hurt for a little while after that, and is still slightly sore.

The other driver was shaken up really badly though. He was an elderly man, maybe in his 80s, and it really shook him up! My parents were really nice about it though. There was no damage to our car, and his had very little. My parents called the police though, because of how upset the man was.

Thankfully, the presence of the officer calmed him greatly.

On Friday my friend Asia spend the night. She's really nice, but, like me, she can be very quiet. Both of us wish the other person would drive the conversation, haha. But we got on the computer to show each other music. And then we went to facebook. And Austin, her boyfriend was on.

So began a chat. Turns out Austin was at his friend Anthony's place, gaming. So, all four of us started chatting, haha! It was lots of fun! xP That's where the above quote is from! xP

The next day we went to see Sorcerers Apprentice. Yeah, I know it hit theatre AGES ago, but we go to this really cheap place (tickets for $2). The only catch is you have to wait a bit longer to see whatever movie.
Anyway, it's super good! I loved the whole concept, haha!

Outside of the theatre there was a sort of concert. It was a bunch of really, REALLY talented teens from the area! They were so good! I could have stayed out there all night and listened to them! However, Asia needed to get home...

But it was really fun!

Early to Rise?

If early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise, then what does late to bed early to rise make a girl?

Answer: sleepy.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
I crack myself up.

So, if you're observing you've already noticed what I changed. For the rest of us though, I'll share here.

I changed the name of my blog, and its theme. What used to be The Thoughts Inside My Head is now Nobody World.
The BG is a plain grey pattern now, instead of a black and white spider web. The banner has the girl grey, her world coloured. It used to be the other way around.

And, in the intro I tell you how I am nobody. All of those things about me are truths. Except one. I am the girl who has no home, only a house. That will be the truth in thirty days though.

I am a nobody though. I don't know who I am, so I must be Nobody.
I don't have any one style, but several mashed together. 1 part girly, 2 parts tomboy, 1 part alt.
I do not have a way to spell my nickname. People spell it however they want to. I used to have a way, back when I was little, but it kind of just faded as I grew older. How fitting, my names spelling was lost as I was.
Maybe I'll figure out who I am, and choose a spelling some day. But right now, I'm just Nobody.

Anyway, what do you think of the new theme?

Thank you for reading
