I love poetry, I've always loved to read it, but now I'm starting to write it too. There is one poem I read that I don't like though. It's called "Hey Cowboy" by Molly Jorden. It's in a book published by my library system. But I am joining a contest through it right now for poetry! I'm kinda scared though, I just started writting poems, so it's not very good. I'll post it here, and any constructive critasizem would be loved!!
Do You Think
By Kitty *insert last name here*
Do you think I can not hear you?
Do you think I do not care?
As you talk about me in harsh cruel words, do you think I am not here?
Do you think I like these words?
Do you think they make me glad?
As I stand here and I listen, do you think I am not sad?
Do you think that this will teach me?
Do you think that I will learn?
As I stand here and listen, I wonder what you think that you will earn.
Do you think I should be perfect?
A human without flaw?
Because if so that goes against the human-nature law.
Do you think you are Almighty,
a brilliant site to see?
A human flaw with you there does not be?
Because if that is how you feel,
if that is what you think,
I hope you soon learn better, before you fall beneath the brink.

So what do you think?
