Wow, I just had the...I don't know how to describe it. Kinda scary, but not really...more disturbing experience.
Here's what happened
Every Friday night Kurt, who runs the computer clubhouse, runs a jam session. Since tonite was nice he had a campfire and it ran until almost 10PM. Afterwards, my mom drove Kyle's bike home because it wouldn't fit in his car and it was way to dark for him to ride it home himself. Two other friends of ours followed us and when we got to Kyle's house his mom and mine started talking.
So us teens went across the street to a well lit patch of grass, Triclore (one of the boys) had two buffer swords with him so he and the other guys (Ian, Chris, and Kyle) started "fighting" with them. Then 4 other guys and one girl walked over to us and asked if they could hang out with us and fight too. We said sure whatever.
While they were walking up to us I (who had been standing apart from the guys) walked over to stand in between Ian and Triclore. I had a weird feeling about these teens.
After a few minutes it was quite clear these kids were druggies, and were high. One of them very, very, high. After, like, 8 9 min, the guy who was obviously the highest noticed me! He kept watching me!! I guess the way I dress doesn't help, but he was staring at me!!
Then he asked for our names. Kyle and Ian made up fake names (which were ridiculous) and the guy (who said his name was Greg) believed them!!
During all this, Kyle's little sister (who is my age(14)) came out and started talking to them!! It was like she knows them!! (Later I found out from mom, that Kyle and his mom thinks she used to hang out w/ them in school before they were pulled out to home school.)
The druggies started using drugs in front of us, and I'm sure they would have offered us some if Kyle hadn't said he was tired and went over to our moms (who didn't know the kids were high). I then said I had a good book waiting for me and left, Chris followed me, and Ian and Triclore said they had to go and left. Only Kyle's little sister was still there, she stayed with them for a few more minutes until Kyle went over and dragged her off.
I met druggies....Even as I write this in the warm safety of my home, I'm still shaking.
