As part of the 50th Anniversary festivities this year, November will see the premier of a 90-minute special titled An Adventure in Space and Time. Penned by Doctor Who scribe and Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss, the docu-drama will tell the story of the series' creation and the people involved.
Among the recently-announced cast is David Bradley, who will portray William Hartnell, the first actor to play the iconic Time Lord. Bradley is familiar to film audiences as Filch in the Harry Potter series, and his previous Doctor Who credits include Solomon in last year's "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" and the voice of the Shansheeth in the Sarah Jane Adventures episode "Death of the Doctor".
