Well, the wedding went well, it was short, sweet to the point, and we all went to the reception hall, where we all gazed at the ceiling as there seemed to be no presence of one. I was told that it had fallen, and left behind the insulation, and a wall which I can only assume was the roof. What makes this so much more exciting was the fact that Hurricane Ike just so happened to come in during this time. As we ate, figuring the worst we'd get was rain and wind, thinking it surely wouldn't do anything 'til later, we get a report in from someone listening to the radio that a tornado touched down not far from this out of the way, middle-of-no-where country-ridden spot. Cloud somehow managed to find -one- hotspot for her phone, and called mom up, where she confirmed this, and not only that, but it was rainwrapped--ie: couldn't be seen. and it was moving fast.

This probably wouldn't be that big a deal had we not then heard that there was other tornados reported all over in the adjacent towns, where most of the people that came lived, oh yeah and the fact that both church and reception hall wasn't probably the best choices for this situation. My aunt was already looking for a ditch or something we can jump into. After telling this to Lovely Wolf she pointed out how funny it is to imagine the bride ducking for a ditch in the middle of no where.

Fortunatly, most of these cases where so brief, and quick, that there was no real damage done, and they moved so quickly that within minutes, we where in the clear. At this point, we all left in a bit of a hurry, worried that something else would happen. Never even got to toss the bird seed at the bride and groom, but oh well.
