My eyes closed for a moment, and when I thought about it, I didn't see any complications with taking her. Katy was strong, she could fight through it. Besides, I had gathered enough self control over my sixty three years on this earth to stop myself before I killed her. So what was the problem with just taking a little taste?

My fingers aggrandized themselves to gradually end in long, curved, razor-sharp points, useful for piercing hearts to give the pitiful humans a quick death. Or a painfully slow one.
