War with myself

Have you ever felt like you had multiple personality disorder? Was it ever as if there were conflicting opinions within you?
Well, I believe that each person is composed of different parts, including three primary ones. These are the Mind (rational and analytical) the Heart (emotion) and Body (physical). These three parts often view the world in different ways, and more often than not disagree. Let me give you some examples…
School begins in the morning…
Mind: Ok, let’s get this over with. Where is the assignment? We’re wasting time.
Body: I smell something funny. What is that?
Mind: Probably our breakfast.
Body. Yep. I think it’s that sausage-want to-be.
Mind: Don’t eat then. But there won’t be more till lunch, you know that.
Body: I’ll risk it.
Heart: O look! Angelic is walking Martin to class! Isn’t that sweet.
Mind: That’s backwards. He should be walking her.
Heart: It’s STILL sweet of her.
Body: O, come on now, she’s been chasing any guy with good hands who’ll glance her way.
Heart: O, you’re so negative.
Mind: Sure, whatever. It’s now of your business anyway. Now where is that teacher?
Body: Who cares if she’s late? It’s the same distance till lunch anyway.
Heart: There she is! O, she looks so dreamy and starry-eyed. She must be thinking about someone special.
Body: She’s obviously not thinking about her wardrobe! A trench coat and sandals? And with it snowing outside! How can she not be shivering and trying to warm her ankles?
Mind: Its’ her body, so she can do as she likes, but I would really appreciate it if she would hurry up and tell us what she wants us to do! We are wasting time while she shuffles through her desk, not really seeing anything.
Heart: We can’t focus either when we are emotional. It’s a delicious bliss.
Mind: There is nothing miserable about this stinking cell. I just want to get this over and get online. We might be able to have a real conversation about something other than Kristen Alma’s’ hair or Rustin Michaels’ abs for once!
Body: But he’s got Great Abs!
Mind: You’re missing the point.
Heart: Hey, when we get online, could he talk to Richard?
Mind: Yes, I want to ask more about his culture and lifestyle. It’s absolutely fascinating.
Heart: Yea, and I want to know more about his family. And opinions on marriage. I mean, he might be a good match if…
Mind: Stop that! He hasn’t shown any real interest in us in a passionate way. And He’s not a Christian. He will never understand the deepest part of us.
Body: Look who’s talking! Its only hard to understand you, because you’re so complicated.
Mind: Hey, at least heart and I have an afterlife! You crude casing…
Heart: We really shouldn’t pick on body so. She does what she can under the circumstances. And it couldn’t hurt to get close in any case…
Mind: All body does is distract us when we least need distracting. And don’t you remember what happened last time we got close to someone? We have to be careful… O, never mind here’s our assignment! O, chemical properties of water. This should be easy!
Heart: You know we should try talking to Daniel today. He’s so upset about his Girlfriend and maybe if we could get them back together he would feel better…
Mind: Good idea, he could use a friend now, but wait till I’m done with this. Now, it’s the Hs that are positive…
Heart: o, and why don’t we send him that video we found.
Mind: sure, but AFTER I get home. Now when this interacts with a covalent bond…
Body: Hey, could we fix my clothes, I have this itch…
Mind: No! First we are going to finish this!
Heart: humph.
A few minutes later…
Mind: there, I’m done. Now, let body, shift around without the teacher seeing… There, now let’s get online.
Heart: Can we…?
Mind: Sigh. Sure, if Richard or Daniel are on, we’ll comfort, or flirt or whatever you want. But don’t forget we promised Courtney a review of what she wrote.

Well, this is a first part of a longer “series” involving situations and how different parts of us are effected differently. However, please note that in my situations, the Mind is the dominant one. It isn’t so for everyone, however, and should not be taken as a reflection of anyone’s thought process or behavior except mine.
